EA UK has just released the official Army of Two boxart for the EMEA region. The artwork is damn cool and drives home the two most important things about this game -- guns and co-op play. The (not so) subtle integration of guns into a city skyline gives off a cool vibe, as do the battle scarred helmets the two main characters are wearing. And surprise, surprise -- the game is rated 18 (M), so all the blood thirsty little kiddies out there are gonna have to ask their parents nicely for the game.

That goes right up there alongside the original Megaman, as the worst cover art ever.
BlueNocturne @ Aug 22nd 2007 11:28PM
Wow.. looks a bit ripped off the Saints Row cover... only this time the guns have windows. >_>

this looks pretty cool to me for a cover. I like it.

corrections, that is a 18+ on the pegi rating not the bafa(the guys that ban manhunt) that is the legal binding we get find £5000 for selling to an underage. its red circle with 18 or 15 or 12 in the middle but the pegi, 3 year old timmy can walk in and buy it.

Even though something tells me it will disappoint, I'm still looking forward to seeing how this game turns out.

God I hate those retarded looking helmets. Should be sweet game though.

Really stupid cover art, but I've seen worse.

w00t! looks nice. Well i'm off to play the new Folksoul demo =) at least I'll be able to read the text this time. Does anyone know if the EU PSN store will still be updated dispite the early folksoul demo?

This is unrelated to the thread, but I have a glitch question about GRAW2 for the PS3. In an early stage where I was entering a helicopter taking me to Juarez, the helicopter was actually see through. And once I entered it, the screen jerked all over place like a wild camera during an earthquake. If you have the game, can you let me know if you experience the same thing? If not, I'll have to return my copy.

#9: I played the FS demo last night, it's alot of fun yanking souls out of bosses...reminds me of those fishing games.
#10: If that's the only bug, live with it. I was going to buy GRAW2 myself but I didn't think it hit the streets yet...Gamestop and others have 8/24 listed.

The first thing I learned in Design Studies is add color and have the major text in the top third or the lower third because thats where you eye looks first.
By far my favorite boxart is Warhawk.

I was really waiting for MGS4, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, and GT5. But this game seems fun enough....and it is..I like how I don't tense up physically when I play it, unlike Resistance or even Fall of Man. It's a really "cool headed" kind of game to me. I hope you're enjoying your PS3 as I am. Quite frankly, I'm glad they're rolling out hit games little by little. That way, we have the time to take in and savor and mull over the current games and save up some dough by the time the next ones come out.

wow so many negative comments about it.. i actually think its an awesome cover. looks really good (albeit unoriginal) MUCH better than the 360 cover (i know its the same, but 360 green box makes it look like crap)
Thos helmets are one of the things that actually DREW me to this game (and the dark humor)

Popfrog, you're right. It's no biggie, especially since everything else seems to function okay. Like I mentioned above, it's a really cool headed, realistic, and fun game. But they could do better. The framerate, on my copy and machine, seems a bit choppy, but then I overuse my console alot. Never intended to overuse the PS3 like this, never saw how wonderful this machine really is. To think that I orinally only wanted Marvel Ultimate Alliance as the only game on it and then use it totally for a bluray player. Well, in a few mintues, I decided to buy another PS3 right away, without even a second thought. Took me one week and $32 in phone calls to finally find another one. The earlier PS3's should be of higher quaity because the factories that produce them are still brand new. Over time, the factories and machineries tend to wear down like a used car.
But I had some problems with the launch date on GRAW2, as well. One vendor would say it's on this day. Another vendor would say it's on another day. The official website would list one date and then one hour later mention another date. But fortunately, I checked all the stores in my area on the 22nd, and there it was. Sold out in all places. But I had one reserved for me. It's really fun. I don't notice the choppy framerate after a while though. Since you tend to have to move very slowy and sneaky most of the time, which I absolutely love about this game. The lighting is by far the best feature of the game among other things.
It's a 360 port, so I know what to expect. Until Call of Duty 4 comes out, I'd expect most ports to continue to struggle for a while while developers retake their algebra exams until they finally pass the tests. Or until Microsoft's secret handshakes expire and the developers are free to make the games look better.
Now, I don't even watch bluray movies that much. I turned into a gamer...!!!

Congratulations on owning a PS3. Despite all that's been said and done, I know I'm more than happy with mine and hope you all feel the same way. It's a wonderful machine. Don't' need anything else after you buy that. No need for a 360 or Wii. No need for a high end DVD or Bluray player. No need for a computer or SACD or music player either. It's prefect in almost every way. It's quiet and buit like a rock. All in one solidly built machine. Now you can use it as a DVR, too???? wow.
Look at MGS4 and Grand Turismo 5 and Ratchet & Clank coming up. Good times are here, baby. Not to mention the Harry Potter movies coming out on Bluray along with Spiderman and all other goodies....Gamepro and other magazines like EGM and do their sales pitches on clunky Wii's or 360's anyday. But I have eyes, too. I don't have to listen to a salespitch to buy what I can see as a better deal. I can tell a pretty girl from an ugly one. You can talk up the benefits and beauty of the ugly one all you want. But I'm not going to listen. I know a pretty girl when I see one.
