Warhawk is downloadable at 12:01AM EST tonight

Synchronize your watches. Warhawk is coming tonight. Midnight, in fact. For those on the East Coast, that means there's less than twelve hours until Warhawk can be purchased from the PlayStation Store. If you're on the West Coast, you'd be able to start downloading and playing before the CSI:Miami plays on CBS.

Those that don't want to pay for a digital download will be able to pick up a $60 retail version (which includes a headset) at select stores tomorrow. See you online! Don't forget to add PSFanboy to your Friends list to play with us tonight and through the coming weeks.

Not if you live in Europe where you will need to wait till Thursday to buy the game on the Network and the middle of September to get it a retail.

Anyway I'm torn. Do I go buy the el cheapo Jabra BT headset and download Warhawk tonight? Or wait until tomorrow, spend the same amount of money overall, and get retail?

It'd be tight if you could get some online voucher that shows you bought it online and could walk into a retailer tomorrow and pay $20 for the headset and retail packaging. Wishful thinking, I know.

The choice popfrogs is if you already have a bluetooth headset. If not, then it's hard to coordinate and talk to your teammates.

I had that problem in the beta, and would always feel that I was not really apart of the team.

Wait the 9 hours til stores open and get the headset.

Can somebody please clear something up for me, I haven't been able to find info on this: What happens to downloaded games if you switch out your hard drive? Will you lose that stuff? Does the backup utility save the games you've downloaded? I want to put in a 120 gig hard drive but am not doing it because I don't want to lose all the games I've paid for.

#7. Well my wife has this same model Jabra headset she uses with her phone sometimes. I can also use it with my SK3. If I want to save $20 I can weasel hers away from her but I want my own anyway.

Showstopper: Are you serious about the 360? Damn, downloadable games are a big part of why I want one... looks like I'm waiting for a while until I can get a version I know isn't defective. How the hell have people let them get away with that?

As for Warhawk, I'm still on the fence... I won't buy it now since I'm going to an anime convention this weekend, but if I was going to play an online game, this might be the game I'd start with. No hope for a demo, I suppose?

Yes you can buy stuff from the US store although you may have to top up you wallet unding $10 additions to get to $40 as sony checks the address against you credit card if you add too much at once ($10 worked for me although various cc companies may be diferent)

I now have $40 in by US PSN wallet ready to buy :-)

at futureshop its at $70 like all other ps3 games
close by my home there is a bestbuy 1min on foot away from the futureshop... both sell the same stuff at he same price and i find the display better at futureshop
i usualy go to the one with the empty parking :D

but since i have a $50 ebgames card i will buy it from there XD

Showstopper, damn, that's weird, it's gone for me too, and I'd just replied too (I KILLED IT, heh). Short version is I think Heavenly Sword has HDR and anti-aliasing, and I'm quite sure Killzone does as it uses an unusual rendering method (that works better with the Cell) that doesn't require gpu support for HDR lighting.

Oh well. Time will tell.

whoa Sh0wstopper you've clearly been misinformed. If your 360 breaks (as has happened to me) you have to redownload (not rebuy) everything but it is linked to your gamertag not your system, you can download it an infinite number of times but only on the system where your gamertag resides.

I've lost count, launch from Wal-Mart and I am pretty sure I am in double digits. I have since gotten a warranty from work on my current one which replaced my fried hard drive connection about a month ago and it rattles when it starts up and the disc tray won't open when it is vertical unless I knock the crap out of it. As soon as we clear out the non hdmi units I will once again be starting anew.

Why is everyone talking about loading up your wallet? If you just go to buy it and don't have enough in your wallet, PSN will let you add just the difference. So, if you have $5 in your waller, it will let you add exactly $34.99. And if you have $0 in your wallet, you can pay for it like any other retailer. It's the sweetness. Who needs a friggin' penny in their wallet!?!?

This is unfair to us people who's gonna be buying the retail version. The SHIPPING date is tomorrow, which means it won't be in most stores until Wednesday. And since I work for one of those stores, naturally I want to get my employee discount. But the store doesn't open until 10am, and shipments don't arrive until after 11.

So while most people will be downloading it tonight at midnight and having fun, poor lil' me will be waiting over 35 HOURS, for the UPS guy to arrive at my store on Wednesday morning, all for the sake of an employee discounted Warhawk with a bluetooth. But I was in the beta, and Metroid comes out for Wii tomorrow, so I guess that kinda makes up for it.

You can get a Bluetooth headset on ebay for 20 bucks. I bought a H700 Motorola one for that, new, shipping included. It may be a fake, may not, but it works. Download the damn thing if you can't wait. I know I'll be lined up for it. Just as I start to get decent at R6 Vegas THIS happens.

It's just.... Y'see, I work at Gamestop, and I'm kind of poor right now. So I really don't have any choice but to trade in some old games and get my employee discount to be able to afford the game. :(
Rest assured, I'll be owning online soon enough. If you weren't in the beta, believe me, Halo 3 ain't got nothin on Warhawk (my personal opinion).

Let me re-state that. MY PERSONAL OPINION about Warhawk being more fun that Halo. I played the beta for both and thats just how I feel, Halo 3 = Halo 2 in 1080p. I know this is PS3 fanboy but I'm just used to getting flamed whenever I voice my opinion about games.

I'll probably buy the PS Store version.

I don't need the headset because I don't want to talk to or hear nasally-sounding teenagers, I just want to blast their virtual soldiers away!

It's easier to deal with no disc anyway. I'd be more apt to buy full games over the PS Store rather than Blu-ray games, but I wonder if you can sell it if you get bored with it?
