Disgaea 3 scans reveal mad scientist main character
The first ever Japanese magazine scans for the upcoming PS3-exclusive Disgaea 3 have surfaced on the internet. In them, we see the series' trademark art style come into play again. The cast has changed from the previous two games. The forlorn individual at the bottom is Mao, and he looks to be a crazed scientist of sorts. The official site for Disgaea 3 will open on September 21st (isn't that around the time of Tokyo Game Show?). Hardcore Disgaea fans will want to mark their calendars, knowing that trailers and screenshots are bound to shower upon them on that day.

I missed Disgea 2. Last year I bought a house, money and time has been so damn short lately.
I'm going to pick up Lair and Warhawk Thursday before work...then I'm broke again. Haha I'm turning in some games just to get Heavenly Sword.
Life sucks when you get older!

Funny, I missed Disgaea 2 for similar reasons, but I loved the first a lot. Now I'm happy the PS3 is getting the next sequel so I'm going to have to catch up soon.
I breathe a little easier every time another jrpg is announced for the ps3. Sometimes it seems like the ps2 sucked up so many jrpg titles that even future consoles were left dry.

@corbin enough people to produce it in large quanities and make a billion dollar industry out of it. dont like it?... then go away.
Disgaea1 and 2 were absolutely amazing fun games full of humor. And i personally cant wait for this one.

I loved the first two games but I hope they flesh out the animation and graphics first and foremost. I just don't want 1080p sprites...give me at least the quality of Jeanne D'Arc on PSP and I'll die a happy man. I have the same problem with Beautiful Katamari for the 360, same polygons with a high resoluation makeover. Hopefully, they've been working on this title for some time and they've just announced the title so that they can make a splash at TGS or something.

Are you sure this is still a PS3 exclusive? Didn't they announce they will make games for 360?

@Corbin: Judging from your posting history, it seems that you only come here to badmouth the PS3 and its games. I suggest you find a new website to troll in because your hatred is boring. At least come up with some snarky commntary to compliment your blatant Halo fanboyism. We do like good entertainment around here after all.
An on topic, I have yet to try a Disgaeaeaeaea game but the art style looks like it's right up my alley.

I don't have a problem with anyone coming in here and bashing, provided they have some sort of personal evidence for their attacks (like actual experience with a game). I love Halo, Disgaea and Warhawk.

After playing FFtactics I fell on Disgaea 2. I must say that the game is really addictive. You can boost your items, gain level's till your hair turns white, aquire TONS of different weapons and accessories that you can customize.. There's always a new, stronger weapon that deserves some boosting.. I can't wait to see what new features the third game has to offer. I hope they polished up the special moves and maybe we can get a few different stages to move in.. that stupid house background gets boring after 150 hours !!! Great work with this series !!
