Joystiq interviews Sony about Uncharted at PAX 07

During last weekend's insanely busy Penny Arcade Expo (PAX), Joystiq was able to get a lengthy interview with the Line Producer for Uncharted, Sam Thompson. They go over technical improvements since E3, Home support and the benefits of SDK 1.80.
The interview is a bit on the long side, but what better way to pass the time while you wait for Warhawk to download?

Uncharted looks pretty sweet. Environments and Animation is steller. I do wish the pirate enemies had some more variety in their character models tho...

It's 798MB I think.
Oh, and Uncharted looks awesome!

I don't have time to read the interview right now... did they fix the things that were mentioned in a earlier article here?

798mb for Warhawk? That's smaller than the GRAW2 and HS demos!

i can understand why you would want dlc like "user generated maps, server upgrades, and/or mods" but, IF YOU CAN FIT EVERY THING ON A SINGLE DISC", why not! this is not the 360...we don't need stuff (that should have been on the disc in the first place) sent over the net! BD has more than enough room! i'm not flaming but, i have a 360 (JayDF 1K, haven't been on in a lil while....system is down), and if i had kept GOW....it would have ticked me off to have to goto XBLM blade to MAKE SURE i had the latest maps for multiplayer!
with more of a foundation set in place for the PS3 now, Sony could launch a game with more features right out of the game box!

dude, chill.
most games have dlc later on because they want the game to be out on time.
it's not a matter of fitting everything on one disc. it's a matter of meeting the deadline and shipping the game with enough content to satisfy the gamer.
true a blu-ray can have that content already on a disc, but if the developer spent all that time creating everything possible for the game you won't play it for years and years.
IMO it's nice to have a game to play and download something extra that the makers have recently finished for it. Not wait for the game plus that content to be finished.

i'm not upset....i just think we should get the game first...than talk about DLC! but it seems, (to me), to be a growing trend to ask about DLC in every interview!
