Justin, cause EB/GameStop released it today. I got my copy and have played 4 missions and so far am loving it.
mccomber @ Aug 30th 2007 8:35PM
Yeah, I got that call today about Lair... still trying to decide if I want to head over and get it. Anyone here (who's opinion actually counts) play it yet?
Also, this is great news for BluRay, and I can think of a couple movies I know I'd like on to buy if they release them, and this will also be a huge deal for the format in Europe. Not quite Paramount, but still nothing to write-off, especially on an international level.

That is so weird, because last night I was on Gamefly and noticed that Lair was available and I remember being surprised... shouldn't I have heard something about it in 'fanboy'?
So I assumed it was an error.

will someone please stick the spear in the head of hd dvd, battles over boy time to go home!

is lair worth getting over warhawk? if you were going to get one what would it be?
ruibing @ Aug 30th 2007 10:38PM
I don't think its about supporting both as much as it is about exclusive releases of Blu Ray and DVD. This format is just gonna drag on if more and more studios decide it is more profitable to produce both formats. I live blu ray and have shown my support by buying half a dozen movies that I've wanted to get for awhile (it's been years since I've bought or rented a movie), including Planet Earth, which was just amazing. Seriously, for those of you still unsure about Blu Ray's advantage, try Planet Earth in Blu Ray, it is just stunning on a big screen HDTV.
Cagalli @ Aug 30th 2007 9:03PM
^Well, I bought both :X

No, Studio Canal was a production company for both movies it has no distribution rights over Shaun of the Dead.

Studio Canal had the theatrical release of Hot Fuzz for France but it's not clear whether they have the disc release rights.
