Warhawk available for download in Europe

Warhawk is now available to download on the European PSN Store and has been for a few hours. The price is £19.99 and the size of the file is 798 megabytes in size; that's smaller than some demos that are currently available. At the moment Warhawk is the only new addition to the European store, though we're expecting the normal late-afternoon update to happen as well. Though this goes against SCEE's reasoning for not releasing it on the 28th, as it was in America.

No matter, it's out now. So stop reading this and get downloading! We'll have a full PSN update post for you later in the day -- if it happens.

The EU/UK PSN looks like the US one now o.O (last time I looked at the EU/UK one was when CM:D hit the US store)

And I don't have 8 pence in my Wallet!!!! YAY!!!

Still rather have a copy, Well with 'Next Next Gen consoles' I'm sure they will have a BR/HD Burner, So @ least we can burn & have a copy of our games that we buy!

Why would you say "Warhawk available in EUROPE" and then only give the price in UK Pounds? The majority of Europe uses the Euro.

I haven't picked up the game yet, but will plan to do so this weekend. I'm curious though, with Warhawk having support for LAN games, can somebody give more detail on how that works?

I assume that means connecting multiple PS3's so that each player can use their own screen. And if so, how are the PS3's connected to each other? Via ethernet cable? USB? Or Bluetooth?

#10: I haven't done the LAN thing yet, but I imagine if you put all the PS3's on the same wireless (ick) or ethernet network you can start a LAN game like normal LAN parties with PCs.

my bro got the dl yesterday for me for my birthday. best present ever! but whats the deal with people hosting small games? 2-8 players? you need 8players on each team at least to have a major battle going on!i can host 24 player games. how many people do the servers you create host? btw...downloaded or retail...awesome game!

Thanks Popfrogs for the tidbit, that sounds logical. I'm eager to get the game and see how the LAN option works, then have a PS3 LAN gathering.

Developers should make LAN support on future PS3 games an option.

Does anyone know if the EU version and the US version both play on the same servers? I want to be able to play with players around the world.

I'm right with you, Sh0wstopper. I've had infinitely more fun playing in the smaller 8-16 player servers as well. Not that its not fun to pop into one of the big 32 player matches with all the chaos, but...skill IS more a factor in the smaller rooms.
