PS3 Poll Police: Have you gotten Warhawk'd yet?

The Poll Police have stumbled across a new epidemic sweeping the globe, originating from a game called Warhawk. This disease, tentatively titled Warhawk'd, is a degenerative disease that causes those affected to sink into their couch in euphoric bliss, idling away time playing the PS3's greatest downloadable online experience. With that in mind, the Poll Police need your help once again to measure the breadth of this affliction -- have you been Warhawk'd? That is, have you purchased Warhawk? The staff of PS3 and PSP Fanboy have all been taken down by this crushing disease and they couldn't be happier. They're curious to your status, even. What is everyone's rank? When you cast your vote, leave a comment telling everyone your rank to show who is in the "later stages" of the Warhawk'd epidemic. If you're curious about last week's poll results, they are after the jump as usual.

It's pretty obvious who got eclipsed in the release schedule. Perhaps it's indicative of Sony's hesitance to release Lair and tout it as a true AAA title, perhaps it's just fated to fade away into the early PS3 library. Either way you look at it, readers seemed to agree that Lair got the shaft in this triumvirate of game releases and we've got to agree. We can't pull ourselves from Warhawk yet, but Heavenly Sword should make its debut just in time to keep our attention. That's about all from the Poll Police this week. cant get it yet no credit card so have to wait till the shop release damn sony need to make it so ya can use a debit card :( but yeah looks awesome and cant wait to get it have fun guys and hope to play soon.

i use my debit card. I have bank of america. It has a visa symbol. works just like a credit card. game is friggin awesome. but today a having a shit load of network errors and my controller disconnecting every 5secs.

Awesome game; network issues seem to be popping up though. Hopefully theyre patching the servers or something but getting disconnected from ranked matches with 100+ points is insanely frustrating.

i forgot about all my other PS3 games sine Warhawk came out. Seriously never going to finish Oblivion now. probably be months before i get time to play MLB 07 The Show, lame arse Madden, Motorstorm, and Resistance simply b/c i'd have the urge to jump into a plane while playing it

Sergeantized. But this sucks, because I had like five ribbons/badges from this one dogfight i was in. But then I got owned by a Network Error. And when I finally logged back on successfully, there were all GONE! =(

That... and it takes FOREVER to find a ranked game to join. Jeez.

I picked up my copy, but I wish I would have waited until the get it out of "still in Beta, but you can pay us for it anyway" mode. Network errors and Game Full errors rule the day. It worked much better in the final days of Beta testing.

You KNOW Titty Pink has been Warhawked. I THINK I put one of the first reviews on this site. I'm a 2nd or 3rd level Sgt. If you don't plan to buy Warhawk (as a few indicated on the poll), you're seriously about to miss out on one of the best games going on the PS3 (if not the best)...

wasnt completely sold on the game at first so i let my friend buy it first and played it at his house the day it came out. needless to say i was hooked. i then went out and bought it the next day.....and have yet to be able to connect to a game at my house. really frustrating. my $60 game just sitting there collecting dust.....hurts me to the soul.

Those of you having problems connecting; have you checked your network settings? Open up your ports, if you can. Try 80, 443, 478, 3479, 3658, 5223. Also, look for games that aren't so full, and just make sure your connection is working and solid for a few games. Beyond that...

Anyone have problems Extra Videos? Everytime I click on one to play, I just get a black screen while the startup music continues playing. I can't do anything after the black screen comes up so I have to restart the PS3. Using HDMI with 1080p TV. Any suggestions? is this a PS3 or Warhawk disk problem?

I'm totally Warhawk'd! I just stopped playing after 3 hours. God lord that game is great. I think the best part, which is overlooked, is that I played with my brother online via split-screen feature! What a great addition! I've always wondered why no other games did that.

love the game. I'm all about the warhawk, i can dodge missles pretty easily, but damn those anti air artillaries are a pain in the ass. I'm slowly getting better and better and better at flying.

Warhawk'd big time!!! Having the most fun I have had in ages, this game is incredibly addictive, and extremely fast paced.

I'm a chief sargeant, but its weird i've only played 5 ranked games. seems to me like this is a little buggy, hopefully they resolve alot of the issues people are having soon

knighthawk.. he meant bestbuy.ca .. bestbuys prices have been fluctuating from cheap to insane all week with this game.. i had futureshop price match it thought and they had to sell it to me for 37.99 lol.. love the jabra headset

I'm either airman or cheif sergent. I know I've only got enough points for Airman, but for some reason it says i'm cheif sergent in the top left of the screen in the menu's. What i'm really annoyed about is that there was a network error just after I'd ammased 100 points in a capure the flag match, and about 250 overall, which caused me to loose all that.

I got my first 1st place on TDM last night. :-)

I think it was because that one time I kept blasting soldier away from the safety of a tank. That was a fun moment.

Or maybe it was because I usually sneak around the flags while the other guys are fighting amongst themselves.

35: Warhawk is one of those "must play" games. The hectic pace, the chaos of war going on all around you...it's indescribable. Don't believe anyone's hype, just go buy it. The network errors and difficulty joining a ranked server are frustrating, but these are just growing pains.

I've been playing non-stop... completely hooked. My rank seems to be fluxuating a great deal with some strange updates, but I was a Wingman.

Yeah, they are having some major issues with stats and rank tracking; it's frustrating for sure (had a great game where I received about 9 badges this morning with a couple medals that hasn't been added), but ask anyone in the Beta whether this is an improvement over when we first got our hands on it... night and day. These problems are all related to too many players it seems, which is a great thing since it means the game is doing well commercially. Word is there will be an update in the next few days to either Warhawk or the system that will help fix the freezing issues, and I'm sure the others will be worked out once they get more servers online.
I don't know how many people played in the Beta total, but it was certainly nowhere near this.

Oh yeah, and those sitting on the fence about this title; get on it already! The reviews have been quite favorable overall, the players obviously love it... what are you waiting for?

I just bought the game today. I've only played a little bit on a local game by myself, just getting accustomed to the controls, but Im looking forward to trying out a real game soon, even though im going to get my ass handed to me

Warhawk's awesome, but I'm getting shot down a little too easily flying a Warhark and getting most of my kills in turrets. We need a Warhawk-jet dogfighting 101 on a site somewhere. :D

Also, it's hard getting on an in-between server, since I can't join Sergeant games anymore, and guys pick me off way too quickly on the General level games.

We need more 1st Lieutenant level servers out there, especially for CTF mode.

I would like to add something here, War Hawk is AWESOME!! I have to say that I one and ONLY thing that drives me crazy about this game and many others is Sony still can't get the Voice-Chat thing working!! The so called wireless Jabba Head-Set SUCKS!!!! I tries for an hour to have a simple conversation with my buddy that I was playing with and NOTHING!!! Great game but the voice-chat SUCKS!!!!
