It seems like September is
Motorstorm month this year. A patch today prepares the game for the upcoming Coyote Revenge update and vehicle packs out in the
coming weeks. A community editor for the official European PlayStation forum has revealed the patch list (novel idea,
right Sony?) and we, in turn, are revealing it to you. Find it below.
- Vehicle Select enhancement – your last-used vehicle in each class will now be presented as the default choice during vehicle selection.
- Assigned player colours are now displayed in the lobby to make keeping track of your friends and rivals easier during online races and Eliminator matches.
- Further Player-Stat Improvements.
- Purchasers of 'Coyote Revenge' can now race this track in Online and Time Attack.
- Purchasers of Eliminator Mode will find results from this mode also contribute to their Fame Ranking.
- Track Exploits for Grizzly and Raingod Mesa have been addressed.
- Headset support – An occasional firewall conflict with headset communications has been resolved.
- Headset support – voice comms output now available exclusively through headset.
- Many other improvements and tweaks throughout the game.

I hope stat improvements means you get points for what place you finish in and how many people you beat.
For example you should get more points for 1st in a 10 person race than 1st in a 2 person race.

I wonder the price... (of the new track)

As a new owner of this game, all I really ask for is faster loading vehicles. The loading time is tedious.

Too Busy Playing WarHawk :)

WAY OFF SUBJECT:
Is anyone else's stats frozen or unchanging on Warhawk? I keep playing ranked servers, but they just don't go up!! Can you imagine the frustration I'm experiencing?
Egster @ Sep 4th 2007 1:56PM
@ Farmz : have a little patience. Where have the days gone that people played games for fun instead of getting stats? Maybe I'm getting too old for this stuff.
Anthony Pittarelli @ Sep 4th 2007 2:09PM
i wish they would make the vehicle selection screen load faster, it takes forever to chage cars
Jeff @ Sep 4th 2007 2:31PM
@6 Yes we play games for fun, but the stats are a fundamental part of this game. They unlock new customisation which is why i'm interested in them and they give you something to strive for when you're not in the mood for random killings.
And yes, the stats are 100% frozen now. Stuck at 1258 for 3 days.
Anyway Incognito need to hurry up and sort warhawk out. Its totally crazy that the haven't even put something in that announcement box saying "We're working on the problems, hold on"
Anyway back on topic:
hmm....i wonder how much these motorstorm packs will cost. I dont think i'm up for paying more then $3-4 for an extra track. Still not even through the full original single player races.
And yeh, faster loading of this whole game please ¬_¬

@5...i've been having the same issues but my stats have updated eventually...over the weekend it took a few hours for my numbers to show correctly. also, watch that your ranked games are actually games and not "Pre Game"...where the server is waiting for more players...i got stuck in a 30 minute pregame because the server wasn't allowing the 1 last player in and none of the stats counted. great game though, in time they will work out the little kinks.

Does anyone know how many tracks are on Motorstorm. It seems like 4 or so to me. I hope it changes the further I get.
Farmz @ Sep 4th 2007 3:39PM
Thanks everyone for the input. I really appreciate the help. It's not about stats for me. It's the extra stuff that you can customize with as you progress. It's FUN to see what's next.
Holler at me if you see me!

You know this doesn't interest me. I bought the game the day it came out (knowing full well that there was no offline multiplayer) thinking I would have a fun time with it anyways, but as days went on I stopped playing it more and more and about a week later I was done with it. It's a great game, but the online is just not enough. I can't tell you how many times I've had someone over and thought to myself, "Let's play Motor...oh nevermind" and then popped in something else. I know this is an old issue, but it really, really detracts from the game to me and really kills the replay value. The online is good, but it just isn't the same as playing a shooter online. Racing is meant for person to person action and heckling. It just seems odd. I will assuredly pick this game up a heck of a lot more if this ever gets added, but now I just don't see the point (plus Warcrack is already making my school work and personal life suffer).

Have they ever said that the addon on tracks will ever be free? Kind of like Gears of War just did with their map packs, where you charge for a few months and then give it away for free.
sain @ Sep 5th 2007 10:19PM
@blackbeltJones
No, I don't think they have and probably won't, mainly because that's how Sony plans on making money by allowing free online play.

I am having trouble getting the time attack patch to come up in game any thoughts anyone?
