American PSN releases for September 6th

Sony have updated the PlayStation.Blog to show today's US PSN release list. The content isn't out yet, but should be up within the next few hours. It's a pretty big update so let's get started:

We promised not to moan about the EU store for at least a week, so let's just move on and start crowing about another excellent American update. How long can Sony keep up this pace? Hopefully for the foreseeable future. The PSN is finally becoming a proper content delivery system. For Americans, at least ...

I can't help but moan about the EUR release, what a JOKE it is at the moment, is an utter disgrace and a shame to own a PS3 at the moment in EUR. Get your act together Sony, us europeans are not going to stay PS fanboys if we keep getting crap like this for the last two weeks.

where are a lot of demos..yea the update is good..but it could be much better...skate, lair, NHL 08 for starters...they're are plenty of demos that are out on the other shit heap of a system, and not on ours. we want more

I've figured out a theory for all this lack of stuff on the network.
Sony want the EU (The UK in my case)to buy the PS3 at Xmas (as its the only time that people spend ridiculous amounts of money unless they've been working all the way through the summer holidays before going back to uni), by then, the machine'll be all ready. Home'll be up and all the other nifty PSN titles and I'm sure with the added fact of the new model of the PS3 in the USA, Sony will be forced for better and faster updated BC.
Think about it this way, we've been guinea pigs for the BC emulation and at xmas, after selling a few units at xmas (Unofficially the second launch in the uk, my theory), maybe Sony'll take us more seriously.

However, this is very optimistic, but in a business view, it actually works. It also shows Sony quite ignorant and should of released the PS3 in a better time frame. I forgive Sony for Warhawk and the upcoming R+C game.
Maybe then we'll be treated equal to the USA then.

Now this may not be accurate, but if I remember correctly the PS3 was released in Novemberish in the US? The US had crap for updates for a long time.

The PS3 was released in Europe 5-6 months later. Being behind the curve means you will still have a few months worth of crappy updates. Sorry.

Eh, Stranglehold is nice but I was really hoping for a skate demo today. Might as well wait until launch.
By the way, did anyone else notice that Stranglehold's size is 1337 MB? I hate to say it but...I lol'd.

Anyone notice that the sound in Stranglehold seems... off? Mine is cutting in and out, and generally sounds like it's all being played through a pvc pipe out of my speakers.
Also, this looks like another title that doesn't quite match it's 360 brethren. Not bad, but not quite as smooth, and missing some little details. Then again, it does have Hard Boiled in hd...

Totally weird I had to set my tv to 480p in order for the Stranglehold demo to run. At 1080i it booted up but the screen was all lines, like watching a vcr on the wrong channel.

@27. No it is an older HDTV 480p/1080i, I have a buddy that has a newer set that does 720p/1080i/p but I cant really tell a difference in games on his TV vs mine. I havent had this problem with anything else on the ps3 but at 1080i it hates this demo.

There's definitely some audio issues with the Stranglehold demo. It would intermittently do this obnoxious stutter cut in/out audio malfunction. There's no way to get rid of it unless you exit out of the game completely and relaunch it. Other than that, I'm really glad they gave us this demo. I was geting skeptical that I pre-ordered the "Collector's Ed.". This demo reinforces it. The graphics are a lil' stylized in a direction that's not of my preference, however it still looks good for what it was going for. The gameplay is intuitive enough after a few minutes. Although making the "L1" action moves similar to Uncharted's numerous animations would make it more easy on the eye, believable, and less repetitive. In a nutshell, Stranglehold looks to be a strong title. Action-packed, nice play control, interesting story line.

35. i agree wiz u cuz i also live in aus and find that sony treat aus psn worser than any others regions but hey i never complain but i will be patient and wait for the pre-paid psn card to be release in aus cus i'm not old enough to use the credit card so it doesn't matter to me at this time but for of those who keep complain about not getting the demo in theire country why don't u just creat a account from other countries and than download the contents from there that would much easy i just download fifa08 the other in the us psn store but i live in aus but hey aus psn store still haven't got the demo yet
