assaum. this game will rock, but CoD 4 is better
dan @ Sep 6th 2007 12:46PM
Battlefield series has always been better than CoD series.

Wow, I really hope this game is very early in the dev cycle. Framerate was horrible in many places, there was a ton of tearing, and the AI was dumber than a rock. Watch for the part where the guy walks in a room where 2 soldiers are in the room FACING THE WALL. He shoots and kills one and the other soldier just keeps standing there. He shoots the soldier once then comes around the corner behind him and knifes him. Sad.

besides destructible environments, this game looks incredibly unimpressive. graphics are last gen and ai is hilariously bad.
pbssbp @ Sep 6th 2007 3:02PM
It's about time with the fully destructible buildings. I've gotten pretty tired of seeing wooden doorways handle a grenade as if they were solid stone. In Resistance, where you're constantly running through burnt out wreckage, that same wreckage has no problem deflecting rocket blasts and heavy artillery. What kind of force was necessary to tear them down in the first place?
Yes, I know it's hard to pull this off, but in this type of game it should make a huge difference. Once people get it and use it, they'll never settle for indestructible drywall again.
Kratos @ Sep 6th 2007 1:38PM
remember its another ea game franchis. i know ea isnt the dev but ea is the publisher. battlefield 2s ai was dumb as shit also. i dont know about bf 2142 but i didnt care about the future fps crap in that one. game does not look promising right now.
dan @ Sep 6th 2007 5:29PM
BF2 had little to no reason to have any AI at all, so I don't understand what Kratos is talking about.

Baaaaahaad company, 'till the day I die, oh whoa whoa
I couldn't skip the opportunity, excuse me

Interesting, the frame-rate doesn't lag, so much as it folds in on itself, every now and then. Which is better than chugging, though we got that, too. I'd rather see tear/fold, and I understand this is still in development, so I'm sure final will be less obvious (but not totally gone, wanna bet?).
The voice sound is all wrong. We're outside and we hear a guy speaking into a microphone in a sound-deadened room. Yuk. Also, the dialogue is the sort of hee-haw crap that I like to avoid. Pretty, and nicely executed, destructibility seems well done, but count me out of this boy game.

i am a 100% ps3 fanboy. and i honestly dont like this game. i think that a lot of fps coming out are gonna be a lot better than this game KZ2,COD4,Haze,UT3...and thats just to name a couple..whatever though some people love battlefield...i dont even know where im going with this...just felt like commenting
Joey_Numbers @ Sep 7th 2007 3:55AM
It looks really fun. This is a must buy as far as I am concerned.
This will will probably tax the next gen systems pretty hard. I am looking forward to see how well it will run when the final version comes out.
ssway @ Sep 7th 2007 8:30AM
Great but give us keyboard + mouse support if you want my $$ Frank. WASD FTW!
If Epic can include this with UT3 on the PS3, surely the Kaos boys can do likewise!
