Downloadable God of War demo will also be available

What if you didn't get selected to receive the upcoming God of War UMD demo disc? Don't worry! YourPSP will be hosting a downloadable demo, at least according to ~~German~~ Dutch OPM (as discovered by PSP Demo Center's Benjami). Whether or not it will have the same content as the upcoming disc demo is unclear, but this should come as good news for those that weren't eligible for the limited edition demo. And as always, once the demo goes live, PSP Fanboy will also be hosting it for you.

Yes please! There hasn't been alot of new demos...well at least good ones and this would make me glad. Can't wait for this game and can't wait till I download demo!

Sony pretty much has 2 choices here. Provide the downloadable copy themselves, or have someone hack it and put it up for download.

Either way we are getting our content, from Sony or else. I'm glad Sony can finally see it through the user's point of view.

I suppose this will make me feel better for not being picked to receive the demo.

Well, I guess I don't feel so cool now for getting the disc, however the more people that can experience the demo the better. I'm assuming the download will be what's been shown at all the conferences and expos this year and I'm hoping that the disc will have that and some extry goodies.

As an aside, has there been any word yet on what Ready at Dawn's next title will be? I thought I read somewhere (maybe here) they were going to try an original IP. They're amazing developers and I'm excited to see what they'll come up with. (Please not a shooter!)

Ready at Dawn has announced that they are working on a new IP (at the same time they announced the Naughty Dog member's move to R@D) but they haven't said which platform (PSP, PS3 or other). AFAIK.

God of War is an American developed and produced game, the demo will be available here and Europe. not to mention demos are region free.

If I happen to not get my UMD Demo Disc, then this is great news! But I would prefer to have the package and everything...

Also, it is supposed to be released on 9/07.

I doubt it will be the same as the UMD demo, since the UMD demo will feature a new level, the downloadable one will probably be the one everyone played at E3 and stuff.

this is great news for me because even though i'm getting the disc my psp currently can't read discs and hasn't been able to for a couple of months i've been waiting for the psp slim (and to get enough cash) before i buy a new one (that might not happen till christmas) and so i was worried i wouldn't be able to play the demo but not anymore yay
