Wiimote control the PSP
You've seen the PSP controlled by an Xbox 360 controller. You might have even seen the PSP controlled by a DualShock. Now see the PSP controlled by a Wii remote instead! It's as simple as connecting your homebrew enabled PSP to your PC wirelessly, then your Wii remote to the PC via Bluetooth, and finally having the PC translate the Wii remote information into PSP controls somehow. That is to say, it's not very simple and rather cumbersome. But at least it's possible, and that's the important part.

WOOT! First post! Wow...am I lame or what. D'oh!
Kspraydad @ Sep 9th 2007 8:28AM
Is the Wiimote just as lame on the PSP?
daniel-kun @ Sep 9th 2007 9:37AM
Uh... he plugged the Wiimote into the power plug? This smells like fake :)
Barndo111 @ Sep 9th 2007 11:04AM
Well, I don't think it's real but if it were, why wouldn't you use a Sixaxis instead? It's still nice though to see that at least one person bought Driver..
Mr Khan @ Sep 9th 2007 1:01PM
I would think the Wii remote's tilt would be a bit more responsive than the nub
But wouldn't there be too few buttons for full control?
Tahiri @ Sep 9th 2007 2:20PM
"I would think the Wii remote's tilt would be a bit more responsive than the nub"
You'd be wrong. The Wii-mote has a higher latency.
White-Sharingan @ Sep 9th 2007 5:01PM
I dont get it, the PSP is on the floor/desk right?
so that means the wii-remote is tilted forward. I didnt know the wii remote could read the tilt while in that pisition.
If its tilted forward or backwards, shouldnt the wii remote be tilted from up and down? instead of side by side?
If you dont understand what I mean (I dont thnk I even understand lol) this is a video showing how tilting is on the wii remote:

or is the psp stuck on a wall? oO
wengleung @ Sep 10th 2007 11:21AM
@ White-Sharingan,
You can judge from the reflection that the PSP is stuck on the wall. (From what i can see the reflection could be a side window of the house). The person demonstrating also seem to be in an upright position.
Cheers.

Wow, now there really is no difference between wii and PSP games.
aislesomething @ Sep 10th 2007 4:44PM
Oh, mr nimblewick.
You're so witty and original with your casual response to the Wii being graphically inferior to the other next-gen consoles. And here's the icing on the cake, you graphically compare Wii games to PlayStation 1 games. Hahaha, haven't heard that before.
...jebus.
mr nimblewick @ Sep 10th 2007 5:57PM
@ aislesomething:
What are you rambling on about?
Mr Khan @ Sep 10th 2007 6:27PM
@ Tahiri
Tell that to Sonic and the Secret Rings, although a latency might appear in this twisted control-relay and emulation sequence
pixelator @ Sep 10th 2007 8:41PM
Not only is the Wiimote motion input high latency, but it's imprecise as hell. I'm no fan of the DS touchscreen for gaming, but I'd rather go THAT route than this bizarre concoction.
Totally useless as anything but a timewasting exercise.
pixelator @ Sep 11th 2007 12:05AM
@nimbewick:
Well, the Wii IS graphically inferior to other next-gen consoles. I've had one since launch and other than the occasional Wii Sports fest, RE4 and the rather excellent Zelda, little interests me on the platform.
I mean, yeah, bashing the Wii is pointless in this particular thread, but if the shoe fits...
ZombieOrgasm @ Sep 11th 2007 11:25AM
Gee.. Post anything about Wii including a small homebrew program and you get a bunch of fanboys bickering back and forth.
