Beautiful Katamari rolling back home - probably
Namco Bandai's recent site update has unearthed a veritable treasure trove of info. First Eternal Sonata's inevitable move to the PS3 and now Beautiful Katamari is listed as being available for the PS3 in the future too. While neither of these titles have any sort of release date beyond "To Be Determined," it's nice to know that we have two potentially excellent Japanese specialties on the way.
We're intrigued to see what sort of control system they come up with for the SIXAXIS. It seems like the perfect game to utilise some motion controls, especially since a Wii version also seems to be in production. As long as they don't make the same mistake some developers have and allow an option for analogue controls.

Now this is starting to sound like a mistake, unfortunately. Namco already stated that the PS3 version had been canned.

I would like to see some links to the 100% officially confirmed straight from the horse's mouth cancellation of this game, as well as several other PS3 games that I can never dig up an actual cancellation on.

-coded arms assault(konami actually told me there would be info on this game at a later time, so seems to be on the backburner)
-metronome(also on backburner)
-fatal inertia(confirmed back in action)
-and of course oblivion was "teh doomed" on PS3 for a while too

Man i pray this is true.. i was SOO bummed (and frankly didnt understand why) when i heard this was a 360 exclusive. I Heart Katamari is one of the best games ever. hours of fun. I welcome back the king and all the cousins (except Odeku, you SOB! with your big ass purple head..) to the Playstation!

They've updated the site so that neither katamari or Eternal Sonata show the PS3 anymore. This all kind of reminds me of the pc/360 haze reveal.

My distributor has had this listed on the PS3 and Wii for a long time now. The PS3 and Wii versions have a "March 1st" release date, and have since the beginning of summer.
It looks like I may start buying Namco Bandai games now!
