Uncharted's US release date announced

At a press event today in Croatia, the Director of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Amy Hennig, has revealed the release date for the game. The highly anticipated Naughty Dog title will be available in America on the 20th of November. As for us Europeans, we need not fear. We'll be seeing it hit our shelves "this Christmas."

Uncharted is possibly one of the strongest PS3 exclusives to come out this year and we're very happy to see that it will be available for the holidays. Having played the game for a wee while, we expect it to be a big hit. Will you be picking it up come November 20th?

Yup, the game looks fun and its by Naughty Dog, their track record speaks for itself.

Well, I for one am really happy about this, usually once ND make a game, the ball gets rolling! (Crash, Jak and Daxter)
Shame I'll have to wait until Xmas, oh well, theres always importing.

Also isn't Ratchet and Clank reported to come out before this?

i was taken by suprise by these guys .. hopefully the rest of the world will agree on nov. 20th or around that general date ;) .. seeing that HS is tomorrow and i kinda got mine from my game stop already.

Damn! Nov. isnt looking good. I'm gonna be broke as hell before Christmas hits. I'll have to tell everyone early not to look for any presents from me since I'll be getting all these damn games. lol!

I hope this will be a long action/adventure game. I've been missing out on playing them since the first Tomb Raider.

Yeah I'm looking forward to buying this. Of course, that's what I said about Lair... and Heavenly Sword. So, I guess I'll have to wait for some reviews or a playable demo and not get my hopes up over some nice trailers.

Won't get my hopes up until I play it. That being said it looks to have some definite potential. It's just that the releases so far haven't been must haves for me. Hopefully this one'll be better. Sony NEEDS a hit.

I really like the videos, but I think I read in a preview about game play being too linear....
Has that been changed/tweaked have you seen the latest builds ?
I loved both crash and Jak and Daxter games. So I really like the work of these guys. I hope the games is not disappointing.

One thing about linear gameplay, it's not always a bad thing. I love the sandbox environment of games like GTA, but it doesn't get more linear than early mario brothers games, and those were always fun. Frankly I get bored in tomb-raideresque games where you have to go all the way of one end of the level to find some key, then walk all the way back, then all the way to another part only to have to return again. I'll take linear over backtracking any day.

True, But I'm not looking forwartd to Uncharted being asandbox-style game, but more like having different ways to take on enemies ( path/weapons) and different ways to accomplish the same objective.
More like an open adventure/shooter than GTA.

This game really looks like it has great potential to be hit... Come on Naughty Dog do it!! Like others said PS3 needs a hit... I'll pick it up after i hear the general tone of the reviews (taken with a grain of salt of course)..

That's true because look at Heavenly Sword! Game Informer gives it a 8.8 Gamespot an 8 IGN a 7 Play a 10 blah blah blah, you almost have to take all the reviews and mesh it together to come out with a true review and honestly like they have in gamerankings/trackers *forgot the damn name!* LoL it's an 8.4 or so! This game I have been looking forward too for a while and I'm glad it's on it's way out!! I hope we can get a demo!!! But knowing Sony... yeah right... LoL

Linear is Very good thing! i just played through the Gears of War Co-op with a buddy of mine (took us like 5 hours) but it was the honest to god best 5 hours of gaming i ever had. games need to be tighter knit like Gears, not nessesarily short, but more engaging to the player.
