I'll be buying High Stakes right away. (I have been waiting for an HD Poker game for my PS3). I'll also snag the demos, poker wallpaper, and the Liar track. If I like the PixelJunk Racer Demo, maybe pick that up too.
Yeah Yeah Yeah I know High Stakes isn't a perfect poker game since its funny money - don't care. WSOP for the PSP got me started with poker a while back. Since then I have bought every poker game for the psp as well as a couple for the ps2. Also play on FTP as well as casinos and some home games. (I actually won all the money to buy my PS3 in a big home poker tournament... Guess I kinda owe it to have a poker game on my PS3, right?)

For the U.S., the PS store doednt update till around 6. At least thats what i have noticed here in the Dirty South (NC).

I'm also in da Dirty South (lol) and I've noticed the PS Sto' updates are at different times: sometimes at midnight wednesday night, sometimes thursday evening. I can't wait for that Tony Hawk demo and Folklore wallpaper!!

So, this is 3 weeks in a row with at least 2 new demos. Is the PSN finally getting the shit together? If they keep this up, and Home delivers, what will the 360 owners about the FREE PSN then?

@ 15, Using both consoles gives you that much more to dl, so it doesn't bother me a bit to pay for live while I also have PSN for free. Live still seems like the better MP environment when I am in the mood. Flame away.

Soul Calibur graphics are pretty shameful. They're marginally better than DOA, but why don't any of these fighters look like Fight Night? Or even Def Jam: Icon? The backgrounds aren't THAT much more complex!

Wow is that ever a lot of goodness. 5 demos, 2 games, and a stupid number of extras. Kickass.
I can't tell if #10 is being sarcastic or not. I, certainly, am tired of sports demos, especially since there's at least 2-3 for every sport known to man, and they all seem to have the most insane controls ever. I didn't even bother *trying* whatever NBA demo I had on my machine, because there were just way too many controls to try to remember.
Getting poker definitely, probably get pixeljunk as well... it's the only 7 player game out there, and for $7 it's worth the 2 hours of fun I get out of it.

#24 - chill, man. yes, 1.93 was pretty quick after 1.92, but would you rather they *didn't* fix the bugs quickly?
The demos come when the demos come. We're not exactly hurting for them right now.

I kind of feel like Sony is laughing at me and kicking dirt in my face with this Tony Hawk demo. The skate demo has been on Live for weeks and (supposedly) Sony has had the PS3 demo in hand since then. Yet, skate is still not on the PSN and Tony Hawk gets on there the day after the Live demo...What the fuck? Tony Hawk has become the most unoriginal game since Madden. It's the same shit every year! You get a billion points for doing 1000 tricks in a combo while flying off the fucking Eiffel Tower. I'm tired of that crap! It's not amazing when you can do that all day long, over and over again. That's why skate is so exciting! And why the demo should have been released 3 weeks ago! Come on Sony, how much effort could it really take to put 1 more demo on the store?

Is it just me or did Sony pull High Stakes already? Fortunately I Remote Play'd into my PS3 earlier and bought it right away (well hopefully I'm fortunate... Maybe I bought it too soon. hmmmmm). It is downloading terribly slow... hosing up all the time.

The only problem I have with everything on Thursday updates are slow downloads. 300 000 people trying to download the same things from the same location is too much.

Cyber, they didn't pull it. The store is personalized for you, so when you buy something, it disappears from the store and goes into your download history (where you can download it again if need be). As I understand it, Warhawk and Home beta downloads also just popped up into your store if you were invited.

Massive, I agree. One thing they definitely need to do is spread out the updates like XBL so that we don't all rush to grab the same files at the same time.

If you like Classical Adventure music. Get the Lair sound track. It starts kind of average at first but the song gets very good as it goes along. Especially if you have to a good stereo! I wish they'd release the Warhark sound tracks too. I love those.
For those of you that are wondering about PixelJunk Rackers. It's fun, but simple. The key to the game: DPAD! You have to get good at the DPAD. It's all about changing lanes FAST! YIKES! :)
I'm downloading FIFA now. But it's not done yet... :(

Although I was a big supporter of this game, I cant recomend High Stakes yet. Besides taking almost 5 hours to download (where it constantly hosed up then having to do a pause/resume to get 'er going again). Now that its installed - it seems that online play doesn't work at all. *Sigh*
Offline play is OK but boring to me.

That Lair video..oh man. They're still trying to make people like that? This video was basically like the Reviewer's Guide. Sony..just let it go. The game failed. The controls are horrible and playing the game at a slower pace isn't going to change that...or maybe it will but it will be terribly boring.

I know i might get flamed for this but what the hell...
So I was in the PS store the other day and decided to get tekken (yeah I know im late). the game is AWESOME. Then I realized that I have Tekken, Warhawk, Lemmings, Flow, and castlevania SOTN... all downloaded from the PS store. All of a sudden a Question popped into my mind "Is the PSN better than the Xbox Live arcade?" After reviewing both stores offerings (current and near future releases) I got my answer.... HELLS YEAH!!! In terms of quality I think the PSN BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER!!! As much as I love playing PacMan on my $400 and $600 consoles I think I would like to take it up a few steps. The Xbox Live arcade offers games that are fun and simple... which is good. However in terms of quality the PSN takes the prize.
If the ability to call upon past PS1 and PS2 games (which can also be played on a PSP) was not enough look at the rest of the lineup: Tekken DR, Calling All Cars, Warhawk (sorta applies), *SOLDNER X* (gonna be amazing), GT prologue, Socom, LBP, Wipeout etc... these games offer a much better experience than the simple games offered on XBLA. But if simple is your cup of tea that is offered on PSN also with titles like PixelJR, Superstardust HD, Blast Factor, Cash Guns Chaos, etc...
Sony gets ripped in half for all of the things it doesnt do as good as 360. How about giving it some props for things it does better. Especially something like this which is something you would imagine 360 to have a stranglehold on.
