Rumor: Square to announce FF Melody XIII at TGS

A forum member at Ruliweb posted the above image with little-to-no information other than Square would be unveiling the title at the event. While we'd love to blindly accept this rumor, we remain skeptical since this is the same site that made fooled people last month with the fake Sega TGS lineup.
With Final Fantasy XIII still in development, would Square be developing a spin-off title concurrently? If the image is legit, it could be for the FF XIII soundtrack.

It says final fantasy music in Japanese so i very strongly suspect its the cover for a music CD based on FF13. very strange to call a game FF13 music..

on the other hand the image makes me think this is going to be a much darker final fantasy..,.. which is a good thing imo. ff has been too happy of late. in fact the last truly depressing one was 7. what with the whole end of the world theme, oppressive shinra, planet dieing, finding out you are a creation thing and a certain lovely girl getting used as a pin cushion. and we all know that 7 was the best :)

I don't know, why doesn't Square Enix concentrate on ONE game, rather then developing 20 concurrently. Maybe then working on one game at a time might allow them to release a title before the PS4 hits the shelves. So their solution for the problem of it taking to long to develop 3 FF XIII games at the same time is to develop yet another FF XIII spinoff? Talk about stretching themselves out too thin.

No Jim, #3 is saying the japanese text underneath the english writing doesn't say anything.
He's saying its just random japanese characters.

Though I'm don't think its a new game, the soundtrack wouldn't be that bad. Square Enix really has too many games in development currently, but I love their games.

@5 - No, I meant the Japanese characters say "Final Fantasy Melody XII" It's definitely not random characters. It probably is fake though

They are all Latin titles besides FFXIII. Is it possible melody is Latin? and it also looks like I've seen that Amano artwork before.

it's gonna be a fantastic game. lord knows they've had a perfect track record but fantastic enough to buy a PS3 for? eh..maybe not.
