We're having a very hard time just choosing which
Gran Turismo 5 garage image to use for this post. They're all so dynamite. We're finally catching more glimpses of cars outside of Ferarri's, which is nice since we're
almost to the cars normal people can afford. Nothing quite like driving your car, or the car you'd like to reasonably get, around a track like a total badass. Since you wouldn't do that for real, right? Well, from our limited knowledge of cars, it seems these pictures feature the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Nissan Skyline, Ferarri Whatever (does it matter? It's a flippin' Ferarri), the GT-R (fill in the gaps), an Alfa-Romero, Audi TT, BMW Z4, and some ugly maroon car.
Enjoy the pictures!

Holy.
My eyes hurt from these pics.
Otsego_Undead @ Sep 17th 2007 5:17PM
now don't smack me if im way off, but isn't the Nissan Skyline = Nissan GT-R? im also pretty sure the Ferarri in the game is the Enzo.
Otsego_Undead @ Sep 17th 2007 5:20PM
oh my bad. i suppose i should look at the pics first. the ferarri is the f430.
Otsego_Undead @ Sep 17th 2007 5:23PM
im also pretty sure that the audi is not a TT, but the R8.
Otsego_Undead @ Sep 17th 2007 5:25PM
ok seriously, ill just shut the hell up... :-X
Ian @ Sep 17th 2007 5:25PM
"Alfa-Romero" - You must really know your cars Nick!!
Popfrogs @ Sep 17th 2007 5:28PM
Hahah..not much of a car guy, are you Nick? That's ok. :)
MentalGunner @ Sep 17th 2007 5:30PM
It's a TT, it says it on the freaking numberplate! and also The TT and R8 look nothing alike! The Ugly car is a TVR not noted for their looks but are for their power.
ruibing @ Sep 17th 2007 5:32PM
I would love the GT5 Prologue to support the use of the PSP as a backview mirror. I just got mine and would love to see it working in sync with the PS3.
Dreadhead541 @ Sep 17th 2007 7:02PM
****! They don't show up for me
ndoerr @ Sep 17th 2007 6:48PM
@ Popfrogs -- naw, I love cars, actually. I'm just not confident enough to try to name them all based on vaguely recognizable traits. I think I did an all right job though! =)
mccomber @ Sep 17th 2007 6:56PM
They (being the people good enough to put up the bandwidth for the images) pulled the images because they were hotlinked. As always, best to go to the source...

@ #8 / MentalGunner "The Ugly car is a TVR not noted for their looks but are for their power." - the 'ugly maroon car' is the Lancia Delta
The other cars features in the pictures (but not mentioned above) are a Renault Clio V6, a Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione (II) and a TVR Tuscan Speed 6

If this game is anything over $19.99, it will be a crime. Its essentially a bulky demo compared to what the final product will be.

It's spelled FeRRari.. GOOSH.. and its an F430 in the pics
RXSE7EN @ Sep 18th 2007 8:13AM
As long as they have a '91 RX7 Turbo I'm all over this. Will be interesting to see how the build up of the FC goes in GT5 and compare the final car to the one I've built in Forza2. My FC in F2 is a beast and with all the mods installed and the car tuned it's near impossible to keep on the track. I'm hoping that GT5 is a little more realistic.
minimalniemand @ Sep 18th 2007 8:36AM
if by "ugly maroon car" this http://play.tm/story/13182/image/19/full is meant, its a Lancia Delta Evo. This car (the 8 valve version) won 10 out of 11 rally races in 1988, so the world title well before end of the season.
Broken Haiku @ Sep 18th 2007 9:00AM
Hire Jayceon to do car game reviews. At least he'll get the names right :-).
Popfrogs @ Sep 18th 2007 9:03AM
@21: Don't you mean a 1991 RX-7 Turbo II? ;)
...and I thought I spotted a Renault Clio. That blue hatchback with the 10-spoke rims is it after all. Being an American, it's a miracle I even know this car exists. :)
RXSE7EN @ Sep 18th 2007 9:07AM
Popfrogs:
Mazda dropped the TII moniker for the '91 FC--it was just called the RX7 Turbo for that model year.
Byron517 @ Sep 18th 2007 9:38AM
I think this game is $60 to whoever asked earlier
Vincent060 @ Sep 18th 2007 11:23AM
Actually, it's been found that the game won't be $60. It was just a rumor.

@24 respect! i (probably quite ignorantly) thought all americans were only interested in american cars which are... quite different from european and japanese cars.
the clio is brilliant. not a fan of french car makes just coz i'm english and.. well we always hate french stuff for no reason. but the clio i do like. especially the old williams one... thats a real classic.
MentalGunner @ Sep 18th 2007 5:32PM
sorry guys yeah the ugly car wasn't the TVR
