Rainy Woods scans quickly materialize

Soon after we posted about the new survival horror IP Rainy Woods, we were alerted to a small set of scans released by Famitsu. The scans show off the town you'll be exploring as well as some of the more frightening and/or grotesque imagery you'll come across on your quest. The town looks nice, but since it's in the daytime, it lacks that "jump out of the alley and make you cry" feeling other games ooze. Fatal Frame 2 is still the most frightening game we've ever played; it mastered that ability, even though you were just taking pictures of ghosts. Still some of the shots make us think of Silent Hill and that's good. We'll keep you posted on this game as details emerge.

Looks great for a PS2 game. For a PS3 game...well let's just say I've seen more detail in an origami class.

The part you posted about midgets in the last bit of news about it killed it for me. Makes it sound like it's going to be cheesy and stupid.

Only rainy game I'm interested in is Heavy Rain. This is looking pretty meh right now. Of course, that may change... but for now it's off the radar.

has there been a good game with the word rain or any kind of form of it in the title? one example of bad: vampire rain. hopefully heavy rain is good because fahrenheit was awesome.

For those of us Americans who had an Xbox1 he is referring to Indigo Prophecy (dont know if it came out for PS2). And yes, that game was AWESOME!!!

Speaking of Heavy Rain anybody hear anything bout it? I haven't heard much at all since that teaser trailer earlier this year! I'm looking forward to that game and hopefully it'll pan out to be a good one too!

Byron, what teaser trailer are you talking about? The only one I've seen if the one from E3 '06 ('05?). You know, the one with Mary Smith in the kitchen.

The Heavy Rain Origami Killer poster looks pretty cool. I think it's still linked as the main image on Wikipedia.
