Andir3.0 @ Sep 20th 2007 5:10PM
Another HS demo?
KonVicT @ Sep 20th 2007 5:20PM
terrible update, all old demos
sigh
DownwardMonkey @ Sep 20th 2007 5:20PM
RIGHT, that's it. I'm getting a US PSN account right now.
Gareth Burleigh @ Sep 20th 2007 5:24PM
I set up a US PSN account just to get Tony Hawk last week and now Skate???? So much 4 wheeled goodness. Shame I cant get to download it until tomorrow such delightful agony.
Gareth
alexd de la cruz @ Sep 20th 2007 5:25PM
you americans got skate, stuntman and sega rally??? this is bullshit, here in europe we get nothing compared to what you guys get.
Dante @ Sep 20th 2007 5:28PM
no he meant a heavenly sword video....and thats a tony hawk picture....not skate
JL @ Sep 20th 2007 5:42PM
alex- Why are you complaining? Just make an American account.
Egster @ Sep 20th 2007 5:45PM
@ KonVicT : The only thing terrible is that xbox 360 fanboys like you feel the need to comment on this site which is clearly not for you.
ymmv @ Sep 20th 2007 6:00PM
The European PSN store may not get as many updates, but at least Loco Roco Cocoreccho is cheaper here: €2.99 instead of $6.99
RH @ Sep 20th 2007 6:04PM
I agree with KonVicT, when you ahve both systems, its hard to get excited about lackluster demos... nothing fanboy about it. I personally would have loved to get a MGS4 demo. Don't see what the big deal is really..
Wonderflex @ Sep 20th 2007 6:09PM
With the ability to make accounts for any region what is the actual use of having the content reigionalized? They might as well make it so that when you log into the store you select which store you wish to enter.
Gareth Burleigh @ Sep 20th 2007 6:12PM
Alexd de la Cruz its a pic from Skate, the skater is Chris Cole the Zero pro. I hear you about the differences in updates but just set up an American PSN account and you get to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Gareth Burleigh @ Sep 20th 2007 6:15PM
Wonderflex I think it might have more to do with classification. An imported copy of a region 1 DVD is technically illegal here in the UK as it has not been passed by the BBFC. I can only assume with the increasingly mature content being offered in video games that the same rules apply

Autopsy15 @ Sep 20th 2007 6:30PM
Didn't we get the NBA 08 demo last week? Because its sitting in my XMB right now. Maybe its NBA 2K8.
N3M3515 @ Sep 20th 2007 6:37PM
How many times does it need to be said. Demos come out here first because the creators only have to cater to one language (English) not a million like in Europe. If everyone spoke and understood english we would all have the demos at the same time.
sectionz @ Sep 20th 2007 7:09PM
locoroco is awesome .. so addictive .. have to get it for my psp now ;)
Sean @ Sep 20th 2007 7:23PM
@Nemises
Except for Germany and France all the demos would be in English.
Sean @ Sep 20th 2007 7:27PM
@Nemises
Except for Germany and France all the demos would be in English. I believe the problem is probably a political one. Of course over here in the US o' A I'm not quite sure how the EU works with content distribution, or how efficiently Sony Europe works.
Neil @ Sep 20th 2007 7:36PM
This looks like quite a nice update, I'm gonna try Sega Rally ASAP....but I need to read a review for Loco Roco Cocoreccho before I buy it cause it seemed quite a bit different from the PSP game.
Ruben @ Sep 20th 2007 7:57PM
Isn't anybody going bananas... SKATE!!!
Kenny @ Sep 20th 2007 8:52PM
does the us store get the mgs4 tgs07 trailer?
@ @ Sep 20th 2007 8:56PM
HOLY SHIT, MORE SPORTS/RACING DEMOS? FUCK ME IN THE ASS, NEVER WOULD I HAVE THOUGHT...
www.ps3walls.com @ Sep 20th 2007 9:25PM
Great Update, will download tonight
Phizzy @ Sep 20th 2007 11:30PM
The Heavenly Sword thing's a release trailer, not another demo.
Broken Haiku @ Sep 20th 2007 11:56PM
On the US account for EU members, not all things work. Some demos (Def Jam) doesn't work, and some expansions doesn't work either ( I couldn't get the Ninja Gaiden Weapons Master mode expansion to work, nor the Motorstorm expansion), and the Blast Factor expansion simply refuses to install due to it being for a different version.
Also, I don't feel very secure about using fake credit card details to be able to use my credit card on the US PSN.
stirlo @ Sep 21st 2007 12:57AM
yeah i've had issues with EA games... (haven't we all) but i'm talking about Def Jam, and another demo, can't remember which one it was... wouldn't run on my aussie ps3..
Skate better work!! or no way i'm purchasing, at the moment, the only EA game i'll even touch is Burnout :D
Gareth Burleigh @ Sep 21st 2007 8:30AM
Stirlo worry not, Skate works just fine on my UK console and plays really nice still getting to grips with the new controls but Ive played the demo for 4 hours straight and Im not bored yet. I will be picking this up in October on release and no mistake
Gareth
Kxpuc @ Sep 21st 2007 2:10AM
@11 if it's a multi-plat game demo and they get them at the same time but the consoles update at different times how is it old? but it seems like for the PSN even if it's ready for a thursday update they hold it and spread out the demo's now a days
Babybeezzz @ Sep 21st 2007 7:06AM
@ Neil
If you enjoyed LocoRoco on the PSP and love games like lemmings then this game you will love...
It's adorable and makes great use of the Sixaxis...
I've instantly falling in love with this game and here I was worried that they changed it... WOW
Back to Loco Roco Cocoreccho... wiiiiiii!

# Skate demo (free)
# Stuntman: Ignition demo (free)
# Sega Rally Revolution demo (free)
# NBA 08 demo (free)
thats nice.
but why are you here still xbot. Autopsy15 you said "we" so i can safely assume your just a xbot and you dont own a PS3. i dont get it, xbots laugh when the PS3 doesnt get demos and they boast about the ones they have, then as soon as we see the demos flowing they come back just to say we got it a week before you. So xbot your happy about demos arent you, instead of the real game? as long as the demo comes out before the real game i dont care when it releases, i feel better playing games that i started out playing on the PS1 to the PS2 and now the PS3 controller anyways. So i guess your also happy about getting games either on the same day or couple days before us too, granted that there not timed exclusives. the only people i see brining something like this up are kids 16 and under.
justin @ Sep 22nd 2007 12:04PM
why is there a time limit on the skate demo?whats the point? we just restart the demo anyways, only we have 2 breeze through the tutorial again
Andy @ Sep 22nd 2007 6:12PM
@32
I know. Its so stupid. Anyone else think the best part of Skate is grinding.
THPS is done, nobody is going to buy it.
I played both demos side by side and its not even close.
-Graphics go to Skate, sharp and clean looking graphic.
-Gameplay goes to Skate, not even close. While air tricks feel the same, grinding is much more fun
-Physics once again goes to Skate, its much more realistic to fall when you hit a ledge than wave your hands in the air and turn around.
-Sound, I really could care less, about the same
Also there were no framerate drops. Which is good. Even if you don't skate or even like skating (me) you have to try this game.
