Rumor: JetMoto making a return on PS3?
The game in question for a revival is rumored to be JetMoto. Since the original is up on the PS Store for purchase, we think there may be slight credibility to this rumor. What do you guys think? Is it possible more games from Sony's past will reappear on PS3 as some kind of fan-service, or is Warhawk going to be it for the classics?

I've been saying for a while this game would be perfect on PS3. Well not perfect, just really fun.

Well if anything's a classic it's Bust-A-Groove 1 and 2. Those games were simple yet kickass and I would love every second of the owning player 2. Bust a groove 3 sucked big time cuz it wasnt even that, it wasnt BAG3 it was some type of Parappa the rappa ripoff crap with no returning characters.

Considering that the only thing the Warhawk remake had to do with the original Warhawk was hovering jets...bring it on. You can do anything with it and call it Jet Moto and suck up the classic factor.

sounds interesting, but my heart beats a-flutter for a ColonyWars update. heck, just put the trilogy out with updated graphics and controls and i'd be set!

Oh yeah, Colony Wars would be awesome too. But I've thought a few times that Jet Moto would be pretty great with a next-gen upgrade... looking forward to Wipeout HD, perhaps if it were successful other past titles could receive similar attention...

I absolutely LOVED Jet Moto on the psone. This is one game that I would buy day one if it was remade with a PS3 coat of polish. Imagine if the motorstorm team did this game? It would be so great, because part of what made Jet moto so great is the chaos of the race. The jumps, the suicidal turns, the crashing.
Sony, i command you to make the Motorstorm folks make this game NOW.

I kinda like this idea. JetMotto was an awesome game for the PS1. I love Warhawk. Afrosheen mentioned that they only really took the idea of the Warhawk and went from there to create the game. Maybe that is what Sony should do and mccomber hit on this too. Try expanding on some on the previous series/games that we all loved back in the days of PS1 & PS2. A Twisted Metal remake. This JetMotto game. Bring back some of the titles that made the Playstation in the beginning. Remember ESPN's Extreme Games for the PS1? Imagine that on the PS3 and playable online.

You know what I'd love? A new Monster Rancher! Monster Rancher 2 was one of my favourite games of all time, and I spent HOURS fiddling with it and collecting all of the monsters.
I want to put my 300 Blu-Ray in and create a King Leonidis monster that will destroy EVERYONE.

Ok, I loved Jet Moto as much as the next person but I thought that game was terribly hard. I never got into hardcore or anything but I remember placing like 13th and being happy with it. How many racers were in a game again, like 30 or something? Sony for the love of God make it where you don't have to married to the game for two months just to get first.

3D games have come along far enough for it actually to have some potential, especially online multiplayer and proper water physics (how come no PS2 games managed that?).
The first two (I will ignore the third) had some nice ideas but they had all the design qualities of a c64 game.
I want new IPs really...Twisted Metal would be a system seller in the USA though.

Yes, a Jet Moto remake would be amazingly sweet, especially if they brought back the character art style and the crazy soundtrack. The first one was far and away the best, in my humble opinion.
Like others have said, a revisted, online-friendly Colony Wars would be welcome as well, especially since this genre seems to have died out lately. Even Blast Radius would be fun to have in modern form. I wish the Star Wars games would have worked out the multiplayer FUN aspect by now -- Battlefront is nice but more dogfighting would be terrific.
Bushido Blade was great, but it's not a Sony property. Ask Square Enix to reissue it on the Nintendo DS or something. :-P

I'd love to see this happen! We are seeing some of the great 90s classics coming back (as in: Warhawk, Puzzle Fighter, Street Fighter, Wip3Out, et al), so this would be a great thing if they brought back the Moto - gotta get your moto-mojo back! =D
Anyway, let's get a petition going to get this game to the PS3! (And for a new Twisted Metal game!) These were the games I loved, and why I became a Playstation owner in the first place. =)

wow me and my buddy were just talking about this the other day in walmart. i would probably buy Jet Moto for PS3. i did love the ones on PS1 so they could bring that game to PS3 with updated graphics, more tracks, online, and customization stuff and i think they have a hit.

never really had a proper play of jetmoto except at a pub on a tiny screen, but i reckon they could do really good things, make it faster, bigger, flashier, maybe add a few things, it would rule

Micro maniacs, Crash Team Racing, and Vigilante 8. I absolutely LOVED these games on the ps1. They would be even sweeter on the ps3 even if all they did was just update the graphics...

if there is a remake of jet moto, there should only be all new original ideas in the game. not taking from other racing games like burnout or pgr. yeah those games have good ideas but all original ideas would be awesome, like having the racer's body controlled by the sixaxis in order to lean into turns or control in the air or some crazy weapons like a magnet that sticks on the ground and catches the vehicle but not the rider so the rider gets thrown into the air. i don't think i have a very good arguement but still that would be cool if there were only original ideas in the remake. who came up with those crazy hover bikes sponsored by mountain dew anyway?
