Codemasters says @#$! no to censorship

Codemasters, making this decision, know that their marketing campaign in Germany is all but finished, so have decided to scrap the 360 and PS3 versions of the game in that region. The game will still be released on the PC, though, so if you're from the area, you've got a chance after all. Then again, the games are region free, so there's that route also. Don't forget, there's a demo of the game due out this week on the PSN (though GamesIndustry says it's next week ... we're confused, too ... maybe it's for Europe).

It says "The game is due for release in Europe on October 26" so who knows...
Any info on what will be on PSN this week?

Well with the internet and all seems easy enough you could just buy it online in germany and still get it.

IGN says Europe will get the demo on October 4th. The western world will get it September 27th.
Incidentially, Codemasters' site is down right now!

"the western world" includes a lot of europe you fuckwit. it's a pretty dated term anyway. emdc/eldc is what we were taught in geography
chaod @ Sep 26th 2007 3:17PM
actually im probably talking rubbish ignore my emdc/eldc comment

Well, that means no euro demo for PSN, SCEE won't want to ruffle any feathers.

Germany seems to a bit strict with their regulations. Valve's Orangebox has a special Germany version with no blood splatters. (Yes, animated characters bleeding was a problem)

Germany’s always been like that. I remember when carmageddon had to be changed twice because of them, from humans to zombies to square robots. Then just after it was released a patch mysteriously appeared online than changed it back to humans. Aaahh those where the days… …OMG I feel old now :)
Dave @ Sep 26th 2007 4:36PM
Hey, choad, calm down. I was using the term loosely, I wasn't thinking about the actual geographic definition (which is quite subjective anyway). There's no need to be calling anyone names and swearing. I know you said to ignore your comment, but you made the comment and should be responsible for it.

@Dave: XD ROTFLMAO!!!!!
@chaod: You have to admit that was ONE line that HAS TO BE in a sig! =D
@Everyone: Well, score one for the devs! =) Now if only that posseur 'Rockstar' had these kind of balls!!!
Dave @ Sep 26th 2007 8:21PM
There is no reason to act like children and spit venom at one another over something as petty as the use of a term. It's immature and a waste of time. Unfortunately most people that frequent message boards, comment columns, and other forums enjoy being immature and childish. Then again, of course, that may be because the majority of them are immature children.
Anyway, Codematers has been down most of the day. So I assume that infers that they are preparing the site for the release of the demo. That's a good thing.
