Ratchet & Clank goes gold; game gets one-week delay

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction has finally gone gold. For those that are unfamiliar with the industry lingo, that means the game is done and is being manufactured for the masses to enjoy.
But, hidden in the good news comes the bad -- Tools of Destruction is getting a delay. Yes, a tiny one, but a delay nonetheless. You can now expect the game a week later: October 30th. The demo will arrive "by October 11th," although the demo was originally planned for a October 4th release. The demo will be based on the E3 demo, the one which features Metropolis.

I hope reviewers will this as a AAA title. I really can't see Insominac games messing up. Their R&C franchise has always been really strong. I still haven't finished the second one yet.

I have been waiting for this title since Ratchet & Clank 3 (Ratchet Gladiator was just a Third-Person-Shooter)
it looks excellent, and I can't wait for the demo to be released so I can finally try the game on my PS3
hopefully the next OPSM AU magazine comes in soon with a review of it, I really can't wait :)

Probably only pushed a week back to give Folklore and Eye of Judgment some room. Also, it might be a disc authoring issue.

Based on the following comment by Greg Phillips, a Line Producer with SCEA it seems that this game may indeed get some interoperability with Secret Agent Clank for PSP:

MS has paid reviewers to find anything wrong and magnify it to lower the scores til the end of the year. I'm seeing an 84 on metacritic because of the nitpicking about random stuff that the 360 doesn't get the same gripes about. Apparently, an 8 hour halo 3 campaign isn't a problem but in HS it is. You watch and see the bias my friends.

Yeah I only read a single Halo 3 review that criticized it for being 8 hrs long. Yet Heavenly Sword was dumbed down by almost every review for being 6-8 hours long. Hypocrites.

Did you see the most recent Halo news? Native 640p resolution. Them is some fine graphics.

@ #12 there is no hypocrisy, although the campaign is roughly 8-10 hours the multiplayer component is so in-depth that you can spend thousands of hours playing the game...
And regard Ratchet... I am at tears that I will FINALLY have something to play on my PS3 >.>

yea im not an Xbox fan or Halo player/supporter by any means but the multiplayer in the Halo series is what makes the game. 8 hours in Halo and then you can play for years in mutltiplayer but 8 hours in Heavenly Sword and your done, besides maybe playing through on another difficulty. i literally dont see some of my Xbox owning friends for months on end when a new Halo comes out since i dont have any interest in the game.

I agree about the Halo scores, they're really suspicious. And then you hear MS send 800 dollars worth of stuff to the reviewers. Well you get the picture. I've been playing FPS games (on the PC) for ten years and Halo is nothing special.

Okay Halo Haters, calm down. The game may be a tad on the short side but having played both Halo 3 and Heavenly Sword, I can tell you the latter is a helluva lot shorter. Their both great games and I think Heavenly Sword should have gotten much better scores, but Halo 3 just has so much more to offer. You can call the campaign short, but I gotta ask: Who the hell plays Halo for the campaign?

I don't see why Gaystation 3 owners won't sell their Crapstation n buy upgrade their PC that's all u need besides a Wii n ur good SELL IT u forced 2 buy ratchet
& clank what kinda crap game is that????? we have crysis the nogamestation 2.5 is trash just sell it Wii & PC FTW!!!

Re reviews: It's very very true that the majority of reviews seem to be skewed towards 360. It's a sad thing. It's funny how they give the cross-console games like a point higher for 360 even though it's the same freakin' game but with better graphics on PS3.
@PCFTW: That was uncalled for, even though PC does beat all. But there's some things that consoles do better, and of the consoles out there, PS3 is the best IMO.

I can't wait for this game to come out definatly one of the games I got the system for. But actually a little glad its delayed I have way too much to play as it is right now.
