Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of September 30

Pretty slow week unless you're an NBA fan. It's nice to see that Asia is getting Heavenly Sword and we hope to see some decent sales figures from that. Japan, in particular, love their stories and while the gameplay in Heavenly Sword isn't anything too special, the story is worth the purchase. Next week things start hotting up as we head into the holiday season. We hope you've been saving up - the next few months are going to be expensive.
Your PS3 is region free and can play any game from any region, so if you're a European NBA fan, don't lose heart. Release dates are constantly subject to change so make sure you call your local store before leaving the house.

Anyone else think its stupid that there are 3 NBA games releasing on the same day. That also sucks for online because you are splitting the market 3 ways, so there will only be a handful of people online for each game.
I wish they would come together and make one great game instead of 3 good ones.
But then again one might argue offers a good selection and more competition. I think its stupid.

I'm glad I bought a PS3 to have it sit there for an entire year. I understand how there are only 3 months in a year and not 12.

I haven't purchased a basketball game since NBA Live 2000, a whole 8 years ago. I remember it was pretty fun. If, say, I'm looking to get a Bball game this time around, which of these 3 would you guys recommend?

I second 3 NBA games in the same week are dumb. Also does anyone even play Madden in EU? I'm just saying.

Who's bright idea was this to release 3 NBA games in the same week? All that's gonna happen is they'll cannibalize each others sales. I guess NBA Live 08 doesn't have much to worry about, but still, this just seems stupid.

Me personally, I like Live 08. You can download the demos for each game at the PS Store to see which one you perfer.

For all you who don't know which one is the best:
IT'S 2K8!1!! 2K8!! 2k8!! How much more can I emphasize this? IT"S @K*!!!!
NBA 08 is just plain garbage and it's always been since it came out in 06.
Live is okay and you probably won't notice much bad things about it but for those that demand the very best, it's 2K8. It's not perfect, but it's the best.
Also note that Live 08 is made by EA and EA has a bad relationship with PS3, so it'll be bound to be a bit worse than the 360 version, while 2K is actually better on the PS3.

It depends what you want. Sony doesn't neglect online so if you want an online game go for NBA 08. If you want a realistic simulation go for NBA 2K8.
I just don't see how its profitable to share 3 NBA games between 4.5 million PS3's.

2 of the NBA games are ports.. so, easy money. The Sony one is.. i dont knwo, theyve always sucked but at least they can use it in their promotions.

Well Im getting 2K8 so I'll be looking for you guys online to get whooped up on. I keep playing the demo over and over and I must say I love it like love all the 2k games.

SingStar is/not available in sweden... Sorta... One site lists it as available : http://www.spelbutiken.se/php-bin/produkt.php?produkt=ps3024
Several others other retailers, including EB-Games ( giving you yanks a name to recognize ), says it's still due much much later.
There is some talk on swedish singstar forum that the retailer i linked to has gotten a early shipment of some kind, either way it seems to be the right game , no mics, and the singstar store isn't available.
