Yggdra Union remade for PSP
The cult Game Boy Advance RPG Yggdra Union is being remade for the PSP, according to the latest issue of Famitsu [via IGN]. The hard-to-pronounce game plays similarly to the Fire Emblem games. The PSP version will feature enhancements, such as new characters, voice acting, and a new widescreen presentation -- but won't be available in Japan until January 2008. There's a lot of time to add new content before then.

I was wondering if this got canceled. I forget if it has been TBA since 2005 or 2006, but either way it's been awhile since there was anything even remotely official about this game.
to the people that played the GBA version:
I like FE and SF(Shinning Force), so would I like this?

They didn't learn anything by how they 'improved' Riviera and made it worse?

Hmm... to say Yggdra Union is like Fire Emblem is sort of stretching it.
Yggdra has an entire card based battle system for combat. Collect cards, at the start of each battle, build the 'deck', play a card for effects and movement during your turn.
The game on the GBA was enjoyable ( last game on the GBA I played before moving to a PSP ). Adding characters would be a good thing here. They would need to add considerable content for me to give it another run through though.

I just hope sprites won't be as ugly as the ones in Riviera...
