Fanswag: Win a new Darth Vader PSP-2000 (Day 1)
Don't be afraid to admit it: you want the new PSP-2000. With its slimmer figure, lighter weight, TV-Out functionality, and faster load times, it's a remarkable improvement over the PSP Phat. But, haven't been able to snatch a system for yourself? Don't worry -- we got you covered. Along with our friends at Joystiq and PS3 Fanboy, we're giving away one of five brand-new limited-edition Darth Vader PSP-2000 systems each day this week. These Ceramic White systems feature Darth Vader's menacing profile on the back, and are a must-have for the dedicated Star Wars nerdcore. Not only that, the package includes the brand new PSP-exclusive Star Wars Battlefront game.
So, how do you enter? First, find out what the PSP Fanboy team thinks about Star Wars Battlefront (Andrew, Jem, Nick, and Colin) and then write down one thing you learned from their previews and leave it in our comments section, as well as on the corresponding giveaway posts at Joystiq and PS3 Fanboy. We'll select one comment from all three sites at random tomorrow morning before we giveaway another PSP-2000
Of course, there are rules. You must be a US resident, 18 years or older. Limit 1 entry per person per site ... or else (that means three entries spread out, no more)! This entry period ends at 11:59am ET tomorrow, so get your entries in before then. For complete rules you can shared with your loved ones, click here. And much thanks to the fine people at LucasArts for the great prizes.

Bryan Carr @ Oct 8th 2007 12:08PM
I love the fact that this game takes place in the Extended Universe, because quite frankly there just isn't enough of that.
...Thanks for all you've taught me, previews.
JL @ Oct 8th 2007 12:09PM
Andrew thinks locking on is for chumps.
Ruze @ Oct 8th 2007 12:10PM

vinny @ Oct 8th 2007 12:11PM
looks like a possible purchase for me
Wreckard @ Oct 8th 2007 12:11PM
I learned that the lock-on controls may or may not be clumsy, depending on who you listen to.
SoulBlade @ Oct 8th 2007 12:11PM
The controls can be so bad that they may cause you to die in the game.
mat @ Oct 8th 2007 12:12PM
Man, Nick's really not a fan of the vehicles...
gumby @ Oct 8th 2007 12:13PM
Nick found that getting his battlefront cherry popped by this game was enjoyable and they controls were intuitive unlike Andrew and Colin.
BD @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
Renegade Squadron uses PSP's full clock speed, 333MHz.
ZeroSA @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
Colin said there seems to be a bit of a sharper learning curve tahn WarHawk
Krusty @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM
I learned that it was too easy!
ron funches @ Oct 8th 2007 12:14PM

Nick wasn't fond of the vehicles.
lostvader @ Oct 8th 2007 12:16PM
I learned you can customize your character mid-game!
Contre @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
I learned that the galactic conquest mode is a great mode.
Frank @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
That if its a 'randomly' picked comment then it doesn't matter what you guys think.
Oh and that 2 wrongs dont make a right game for the PSP...
David @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
I learned from Andrew that there are tons of in-game tutorial videos that attempt to explain all of the features of the game.
Thanks for the opportunity PSP Fanboy!
tuaamin13 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:17PM
There's multiple control schemes. But is there a customizable option?
Kurifurisan @ Oct 8th 2007 12:18PM
I learned that that Colin thinks the controls are a bit obtuse. And that I need to learn the word obtuse.
FezMan88 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:18PM
I learned that random gameplay can finally make me less bored on the go
Skemo @ Oct 8th 2007 12:18PM
Mmmm...White PSP
JordR @ Oct 8th 2007 12:18PM
Single player is a tutorial for the multi-player? bah. Nice PSP though
James @ Oct 8th 2007 12:19PM
Gem mentioned that the Galactic Conquest mode had too many ground battles, which was interesting since in the first game GC had too many space battles in my opinion. Plus, they were rather easy to beat. I did find his comment that you basically completed missions on your own very similar to the original again. Basically, according to your previews this sounds like a huge rehash of the first game.
Storm Shadow 45 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:19PM
Learned about the vast customization system featured in this title.
zachs @ Oct 8th 2007 12:20PM
What I learned from Summer Camp... Err Andrews Review.
He does a bang up job showing how much there is to do.
Kinda like Jedi Training.
ZRX @ Oct 8th 2007 12:21PM
Customization feature.
mcdermr @ Oct 8th 2007 12:21PM
They've re-done the controls, but still allow you to make use of the "old" style controls.
Kellian @ Oct 8th 2007 12:22PM
While Andrew chose alternate controls, he feels the default controls offer players more tactical options.
Todd @ Oct 8th 2007 12:22PM
Nick feels that the lock-on is very similar to MegaMan Legends. Which makes me want to play it again. Thanks Nick.
david @ Oct 8th 2007 12:22PM
well andrew said that that it has not great draw distance. jem said it was easy. Nick was not fond of the vehicles. and colin thinks the controls are obtuse.
Michael @ Oct 8th 2007 12:22PM
Jem taught me that the single player is rather easy.
harveypekar @ Oct 8th 2007 12:22PM
I did not know that this installment would have a strategy element.
NeoRaiden @ Oct 8th 2007 12:24PM
Galaxy Conquest mode is dull.
jeff @ Oct 8th 2007 12:25PM
awesome swag! I would love this! And Nick thinks: "... and the gameplay, specifically Galaxy Conquest, is quite entertaining."
So thats good.....
melloncollie @ Oct 8th 2007 12:25PM
I learned that the story mode has a comic book style to it.
drw13 @ Oct 8th 2007 12:25PM
Jem says that the game is way too easy even on elite.
JayCubCO @ Oct 8th 2007 12:26PM
yay for freebies
Devon @ Oct 8th 2007 12:26PM
I learned that throughout the single player mission you will feel alone due to their only being AI allies but it works well with comic-book style sequences to advance the story
Darryl @ Oct 8th 2007 12:26PM
I learned that the single player storyline is not very long nor involved. Based on the reviews it's obvious that multiplayer received the most attention which is unfortunate as the PSP makes a fine single player platform.
Lianne @ Oct 8th 2007 12:26PM
Well, Andrew and Colin didn't like the controls but Nick didn't mind them (he explained this with wonderful imagery). Also, Jem stated that there is no multiplayer in Galatic Conquest mode. :-(
lafauce @ Oct 8th 2007 12:26PM
I learned that there really is a Santa Clause Virgnia... wait. No I learned I want a psp pretty bad now. I loved Battlefront on the Ps2 and just pray they make one for the PS3. This might hold me over until Lucas gets his huge head out of his tiny... well you know.
Martin K @ Oct 8th 2007 12:27PM
It's a game on the PSP
Ray @ Oct 8th 2007 12:28PM
"The developers finally gained access to the PSP's full clock speed, 333MHz" -sweet!
AstroZombie @ Oct 8th 2007 12:28PM
I learned how to read! Thanks, PSP Fanboy!
Kangstarr @ Oct 8th 2007 12:28PM
I learned that the controls were extremely "obtuse"
