This week's release list is US only, for some reason. With so many games being released next week, surely it makes sense to bring one or two forward and cash in on what is, frankly, a very slow week. Don't be disheartened though - keep plowing through Folklore and before you know it another five worthwhile games will have been released. Seriously - next week is insane. However, here's the full release list for
this week:
US Games
EU Games
Asian Games
Confusingly, Gamestop have booster packs and preconstructed decks for
Eye of Judgment listed for release on the 15th. That's a full week before the game itself comes out. We'll be keeping an eye out to see if this is truly the case. If so, you can bet we'll be stocking up so that we're
truly ready for when the game comes out. Check back this time next week for a, frankly, indecent list of new releases.

Is it worth the extra $30 for the Game of the Year addition?
I can buy Oblivion for $30 and GOY is $60.

Booster packs for EOJ are pointless, IGN confirmed that Hi-res copies of the cards work.

You know whats funny about high res copies for EOJ. They don't save you as much money as you think. To make a 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper full of high res ink costs about $2 if you do it yourself.

Wow, not only is this week bad, but NEXT week is rotten too. Well... not really rotten, just nothing that suits me. Not a big fan of sports games. Not a big fan of driving games unless it's Burnout or something really, really solid. Not a fan of card games. I was very interesting in Jericho until I played the god-awful demo. Looks like I need to wait 3+ weeks for the real games to come out. Ratchet anyone? That will hold me over until the best month in gaming (November) in a long, long time.

Finelicker,
How good of a printer do you need?

@5:
Mabye, mabye not. Assuming your $2 price per page is acurate . . .
I can spend $3.50-$4.50 on a booster pack. How many cards is that? I honestly don't know -- not a Magic player. The cards you get are random, so you might get 1 or 2 kick-hiney cards, and the rest may be dreck.
On the other hand I can get 9 cards per page (looks like from an unscientific eyeballing of the cards size). If I'm downloading only the cards I want, then that's 9 super-duper-killer cards for $2, with no dreck ("great -- another level one soldier card. I'll just put it with my other 657 identical cannon fodder cards over here . . .").
For the card fanatics, copies may be the easiest way to build a killer deck, rather than buying pack after pack to find that one card they need.
btw -- I thought the producer said the cards were printed with a special ink, so they couldn't be copied. I find it hard to believe that IGN has hi-level printers beyond what most people have access to. I've sent an e-mail to the IGN reviewer to verify that they actually tried a copy, but if they did I gotta put the "super secret ink" story up there with "rumble is impossible".

What complete losers are you people if you are already talking about cheating at a stupid card game. Wow...The lengths some morons will go to just to win. Why the need to cheat?? Did Mommy and Daddy not hug you enough when you were a child?? Did you never feel like you were worth anything growing up, so cheating and getting your name on top of online leaderboards makes you life complete and better?
Wow....
