Ryan Payton of Kojima has already said Infinite War was a internal name he had for Portable Ops+. The name of the game still is Ops+ and Infinite War is a mode in the game.
posichris @ Oct 16th 2007 1:02AM
Maybe it is because they added the mode "infinity mode" to the single player?
BlackBeltJones @ Oct 16th 2007 1:06AM
I'm pretty sure that Ryan Peyton has talked about this on the Kojima Production Report Podcast.

Yeah, actually the mode was called "Infinity Mission" or something like that. But I'm pretty sure it's the same thing.
