David Jaffe's Eat Sleep Play logo revealed

David Jaffe's new game development company, Eat Sleep Play, has had its logo revealed on the Level-Up blog. While we were in two minds about the company name (Jaffe Cakes is still up for grabs!), we're even less sure about this logo. Jaffe explains it to the Level-Up crew, drawing parallels between the games he plans on making and ... soda.
This is where the confusion begins. This logo makes us think of beer more than soda. Also, where's the drink? Having Eat Sleep Play on the bottle cap of a drink doesn't make much sense to us. But what do we know? We're no sales gurus. It looks pretty though, right?

I believe this has everything to do with the double speak of the small games they are going to be creating. The games that they will be able to "pop" right out one after the other with only a few months lead time.
That's my opinion though.

I always thought that Bottle Caps was an olde game from yore... So it might make sense in the fact that they are making Ye Olde Schoole Casuel Games... Then again, the graphic designer probably was on his second case of Rolling Rock when he came up with this one.

ESP isn't the most original thing...but neither will the casual games I supposed.
I'm not getting the whole pay $10 for something that is usually already free using flash...but thats just me. Make them work on my PSP too and maybe I'd be interested.

I don't care if the logo represented nothing, I like it as its more interesting to look at than most logo's.

The logo represents the life of a developer- one eats, sleeps, breathes videogames. It represents late nights drinking highly caffenated products- deadlines- dedication, and the love and pride of what you do.
That's what I get from it.
