Super-Ego Studios announces Rat Race, exclusive for PS3

Behold: a dysfunctional office. This is your base of operations, so to speak. The office and happenings therein would "make the Enron guys look like Nobel Prize laureates" and that's always a good start. A list of colorful characters is described at the PlayStation Blog, but that's not what we're looking for right now. The goal of the game is to make you feel like you're "playing a role" in an episode of your favorite TV show. There's more than snappy dialogue and interactive text, though -- you'll sneak, solve puzzles, steal, fight lab monkeys and more. It seems like it'll be a giant parody game in a way, but all in an office with some of the most interesting voice talents around. More to come!

This game has potential. I'm very curious to read more about it.

As much as I love the fact we're getting an original adventure game, this looks horrible (not just the graphics, the writing in the teaser trailer and description too). If this is our consolation prize for not getting Penny Arcade Adventures, then shoot me in the head.

Sounds interesting. Being a typical office worker myself, I have always wanted a sattire on the topic in the form of a video game. It is my hope that this game will eventually lead to a scene in which be allowed to physically hurt my boss...in the video game i mean...lol. Can't wait to read more.

If this can be anything like the Lucasarts games of a few years back, I'm in.

@appease: BANG!
@Everyone else: I hate to say it, but from the looks, sounds, and overall maturity level of the teaser for Rat Race - it sucks. I love adventure games so much, and miss them terribly, but this game seems lame in a way I have not experienced since the FMV days of the 90s... Writing, voice acting, and environmental design was better in the original ega version of Leisure Suit Larry (compared to the RR trailer). Somehow this thing reminds me of Magna Cum Laude - a horrible take on a dying genre. I'd rather see that Japanese horror novel game come out than this pos. =/ At least that one seems novel.
BTW: Am I the only one disappointed in the new Sam & Max series? I loved the original from Lucas Arts - the new one just seemed so meh. Oh, and @ndoerr: LOOK OUT! There's a three headed monkey behind you!! O.O

No, wait! I think it was just Jem... again. ^_^
