The Japanese PSN store has been graced with two new demos.
GI Jockey 4 2007 and
Heavenly Sword have both had playable nuggets placed online for download. For those of you still interested in
Heavenly Sword but not ready to actually pay money for it, this new demo may be for you. Featuring Kai, instead of Nariko, the second demo allows you to play through one of her arrow shooting missions - also allowing you a taste of using aftertouch to guide her arrows.
As for
GI Jockey, we're fairly certain that if you're not into horse racing then this demo won't change your mind. Keep your eye out for the
Gran Turismo Prologue demo -
due to drop on the Japanese PSN Store later today.

I hope the pictured scene wasn't the one they put in the HS demo.... I hated that scene. It was such a pain in the ass and you could barely use after touch at all, because of the extremely short distances you're shooting at.

I realised something earlier, the GT5P Demo technically isnt coming out today, its tomorrow. Its due on the 20th, and i *think* that it's just past midnight Saturday in Japan, so its not likely to be within the next 12hrs IMO, more likely 16hrs. So for most folk thats not today but tomorrow.
At least thats the date given for the release, and looking at their PSN they dont have the pathetic excuses we get where something cant be released unless its a Thursday and they see 15 magpies, you know, 1 for sorrow, 2 for joy.... 15 for finally releasing something worthwhile on the PSN.

@1 - The demo is the scene when Kai is trying to get into the arena. Starting with the cutscene of Nariko locked up and finishing with Nariko in the arena

So let me get this right, we get a year old port of a 360 game that was met with average appreciation, a multiplatform game of a franchise that is followed for nostalgia reasons, another multiplatform game that looks like a cross between a horrible sonic the hedgehog and a craptastic spiderman game and a few PSN titles that are going to be on XBox live and we're supposed to be happy about this? Meanwhile, we lost two exclusives, and have been ignored for about a year.
Capcom, how exactly did you expect Sony owners to react to this news?

I got on the JPN-PSN from 0700-0705 PST several times, but then I had to go to work. At that time there was no GT5 demo. So, when it becomes available, could somebody please post that it's up. That will help me determine if I need to go straight home after work or not.
Thanks.

The Gran Turismo Prologue demo is up, and I can say it's playable in Australia... No damage, which I can live with, and there's a setting under transmission when you click race you have to change to get it to use the In-car view. Pain to change the buttons when you can't understand the language, but it's worth it.

I downloaded the G1 Jockey 2007 demo off of the Japanese PS store while I was waiting for the GT5 demo to be posted.
My lasting impression of the game is that those bastards at Koei need to pay me for wasting 25 minutes of my life.
