This game looks like one of the best next gen games there is. Kills anything on those other two systems. It is games like this that I brought my PS3 for.

Does anybody know if they're planning on releasing that Metal Gear 20th Anniversary in the US before this one comes out? Cuz I want them both.

Dru, yes, this level has been shown nearly everytime, but I think this time around they have shown MUCH more than all the other times together....I liked the part in which you get stuff for helping people

I think the last thing I heard was Payton said the US 20th Anniversary Collection wouldn't be out this year, but there is something in the works.

So its a toss up.

and it's games like this that i bought my 360 for. which it is coming to 360 also.

if this game had stayed PS3 exclusive i might have gotten a PS3 for it not a 360. i've yet to come across a game that proves it's a PS3 only type game. an experience that only the PS3 can give me.

though we are still at year one for the PS3. next year will be a different story i think.

I am actually waiting for Halo 3 to come on PC, with extra content, mkb support, free multiplayer and playable at 1600*1200 unlike the upscaled 640p you had to settle for
And, of course, Gears, the definitive version, only on PC
Difference is, we know Gears and Halo 3 will be on PC...and we know the chances of MGS4 on 360, even as a delayed exclusive, (5DVDs, no free metal gear online, no hard disc support) are slim...

heh, whoops wrong blog! sorry, i thought this was one of them DCM4 blogs.

but you did mention Halo 3 tho, i'm thrilled you'll get your chance to play it down the line. tho i doubt there will be anyone playing the Multiplayer by then for PC. and the 640p thing was explained, i'd take a ton of content and HDR lighting on screen at once, have the ability to replay it than a less sharp resolution (tho i can't really tell the difference between it and other games).

once again, wrong blog, will definatley buy a PS3 for MGS4!

And yes, this game will sell PS3s, no doubt about it. If Sony launched a special MGS model with this as a pack in, it'd be a lock for many people.

Yawn another trailer, okay a good one. But games aren't movies, i want to know how it plays- cummon, release the demo and just plaster the word 'Concept' all over it if you're worried it won't be as good as the real thing.

Did anyone else notice the upper left corner?. "Old Snake"...? Do we get to see the younger one later on??.Will he get some remedy to reverse his aging problem? i'm sure i have seen the not so old Snake in one of the earlier trailers.

I was there and I played it, and it was amazing. Everything about the game just seemed so great I didn't want to put the controller down.. but sadly I had to... The new DS3 felt great too, good weight and you could feel the difference in the new rumble technology, like direction and distance of explosions played a big part in how the controller rumbled. The game felt smooth and it seemed like there were so many different possibilities on how you could play the game, I can't wait for it's release.
