Insomniac developers talk Ratchet & Clank Future
In the first two developer diaries, Brian Hastings, Chief Creative Officer at Insomniac Games, and TJ Fixman, Insomniac's head writer, talk about a variety of things ranging from their favorite jokes and characters to going back and delving deeper in Ratchet's past. It's all pretty interesting and that coupled with all the great reviews the game has been receiving, we just can't wait to get our grubby little mitts on it.
Keep checking back, because a new diary will be posted everyday until Ratchet & Clank Future is released Oct. 30.

Hey guys, I just wanted to point out that Ratchet & Clank is available at GameStop, I picked up a copy from the PS3 shelf yesterday, and starting playing. It does have the 1.94 FW.

Us Europeans still ain't gettin' no love! We gotta wait another 2 weeks to get our hands on this, why can't get get any of the "going gold" action?

@2: Perhaps you lacked the foresight to import. Region free = win.
Might want to update the post here guys...I've been playing it since last night. Note to Chris Powell: Cut and paste does not a great blog post make.

I'll second (or third) the motion on the game. I got mine yesterday from the local Gamestop, and it did include a FW update to 1.94.
And it seems a bit easy, don't you guys think?

Easy is alright. It's RC for cripes sake. I just can't stop playing. This is definitely a must own even if you are a casual fan of the genre (like me)!

Anyone run into the installation space issue? Hopefully they fix that for the Euro version if it exists in the final retail USA version.

Wow, was this article confusing.
I think the writer is writing to the European audience.
But there was no introduction, like, "Mr. Powell is our writer from Europe, and the following article is written from the European perspective."
Actually, that sounds totally ridiculous. But I mean, you know, something establishing where he's writing from, because we already got Ratchet and Clank, yesterday-- and he's talking about not even playing it! That was really weird.
I've been playing it. (sigh). It's yummy.

I picked mine up at Best Buy today. I ran into the space issue. It said I only had 419MB available and I needed to delete 500MB or more to continue. It was an easy fix though. I just deleted the Ratchet and Clank Demo, since I was about to play the full game, and all was well. It is truly a beautiful game. Emersive gameplay with beautiful animated graphics.
