Penny Arcade takes on Ratchet and Clank
Of course, as is usual for the Penny Arcade duo, they have a blog entry detailing their experiences with the game. "The new Ratchet & Clank is a marvel, further proof that Insomniac is the surest thing that platform has going for it. You'll travel to lush, hitch-free worlds where the brutal load times found in other Playstation titles are nowhere to be found. It's something everyone with the system will be playing, and it's executed at a level that should generate jealousy in the non-owner."
We'd have to agree. Check out PS3 Fanboy's review of the game next Tuesday (right before it "officially" ships to stores!).

Games like R&C, Heavenly and Drake:Uncharted are busy spreading lies about the PS3's capabilities. Somebody should tell Insomniac the PS3 is supposed to have "half the pixel fill rate of the 360" and "insufficient graphics RAM" and is "difficult to code for".
And they should add some long load times as well, or else Jason Booth is going to be mightily pised off.
And all PS3 games should run at 640p - how dare they run at a resolution higher than the mightiest game of all, Halo 3.

PA already did several comics about EoJ. I'm glad they were able to do one for R&C though.

Don't think so. Gabe/Tycho abuse games they think are bad, but I've seen nothing to indicate long-term loyalty to any one system or platform. It's just that the PS3 hasn't really had a whole lot to rave about on the game front until now.
It's not that I agree with them on everything (I thought they were overly hard on Heavenly Sword, which I loved, and their disdain for the Metal Gear series is the complete opposite of how I feel), but they're not "Xbot" or "Wiibots" or "PS3bots" or anything of the sort.
