Are you hankering for a reason to turn
Resistance: Fall o f Man back on? It seems the good folk over at Insomniac, after taking a short reprieve from the completed
Ratchet and Clank, decided to
issue a patch for everyone's favorite FPS launch title. We'll describe the update below:
- Ability to take screenshots in game using a USB keyboard.
- Weapon balance changes and new round balancing options.
- Dual Shock 3 support added for online AND single player.
- Password protected custom games.
- Numerous bug fixes.
Seems the DualShock 3 is starting to pop up in most of the games, which is always a good sign. Weapon balancing is a nice touch and taking screenshots is never a bad idea. It's very cool to see that developers are continuing support of their titles this generation. This update should be out now, so go check it out!

Hey
I installed this last night and had a blast. The screen shot function is cool...you press PrintScreen on your keyboard (you need a keyboard!)...which can be awkward in the middle of a firefight (get a friend to press it!?!).
One thing that I did notice in my first game with the patch (ranked game on that new snow map) - all the human were skeletons!!!!!!!!! WTF...I think this was a glitch with the load or something...but it was pretty cool (maybe a late halloween presant?).

Downloaded this yesterday. Not a long wait. I suppose there is no other way to take screencaps than with a keyboard? Wish they would've implemented a few options on that...

I thought I read something in the news/update file that mentioned some "oddities" that would be for a limited time. I'm thinking they were Halloween related.

I bet all these games are updating thier "bugs" and adding new features because of the huge holiday sales SONY is hoping (and me too) they will have.
All these new PS3 gamers are going to need a good FPS although I havnt touched this game since WARHAWK!
--it you havnt go buy R&C its awesomely beautiful!!

Yeah all humans are skeletons for the halloween time (and dia de los muertos for our spanish friends) and its a blast. I never stopped playing resistance since it's an FPS purists dream come true!

I'm still waiting for 1080i support. There's no way I can play this in 480p no matter how good it is.

How much do you want to bet this was just in time for the Greatest Hits lineup?

I still play this almost every night, between RFOM & Ratchet & Clank Future, probably 2 of the best video game investments ever made. I know we have a lot of great stuff to look forward to from Insomniac.

R:FOM is by far the best FPS ever, much better than COD 2 and the old MOH games.
