"OMG 360 sloppy seconds! Boycott Crapcom!!!one111! BBQ Sauce!!11"
...seriously it's a fun shooter, try it out. I really don't give a crap if the majority of PS3 owners hate Capcom.

I would like to try this game out. Why wouldn't you want you try it ?
Starpaws @ Nov 3rd 2007 12:25PM
I really don't see the harm in the release. Okay it is a dated game...but had a relatively good reception. More importantly don't you feel that considering the 360s poor performance in Japan this is a good way of pushing the title in its domestic territory. With PS3 sales picking up out there it might actually give some positive feedback for Capcom. Who for anybody's complaints are still a great software house.
JerJerBinks @ Nov 3rd 2007 12:27PM
I think #1 is like most of us that either:
A) Played it on the Xbox or PC and were completely unimpressed with the game.
or
B) Is still mad at Capcom for trying to make up for lost exclusives by porting average games to our console. Dead Rising would have been much better attempt to appease PS3 fans.
I wouldnt touch this game on the PS3 even if someone bought it for me, but only because I played the very average PC version.
heckteck @ Nov 3rd 2007 12:37PM
was it just me or was I the only one laughing when Luka said "It's Hard To Swallow But I Trust You" lol
Zombie Huggles @ Nov 3rd 2007 12:43PM
Capcom is way behind on story presentation. Their story-telling ability really hasn't advanced much since Resident Evil. With so many other great games now becoming available on PS3, there just isn't much need for Lost Planet, a dated and "simple" game.
Edge @ Nov 3rd 2007 1:33PM
And don't skimp on the multiplayer, PS3 fanboys. I had many an exciting multiplayer match on the 360 version. The mechas are balanced around the thermal energy system and it keeps players from weapon whoring too much. It really takes a good sense of balance to play it right.
Also, if your mecha shuts down because you burned through your t-eng too fast (easy on the booster rockets), you can rip that mecha-grade shotgun or minigun off the side of the mecha and bring it with you. A giant shotgun in a closed space will do quite a bit of damage.
I'm glad PS3 is getting this game. You guys really should try this one out.
twak @ Nov 3rd 2007 2:35PM
This game is just bad, keep away from it.

Do they really expect us to buy and play this piece of s***? a 2 year old garbage from Xbox with inferior graphics and a half-ss frame rate that is suppose to magically make happy after being stabbed by cap-s**t-com in the back.
This is not arrogance; this is plain insulting. This trash will sell only 9 copies world wide in mental institutions for criminally insane. I doubt any sane person with dignity will touch this.
By the way, F-k Capcom.
JET @ Nov 3rd 2007 4:05PM
meh...
the game was ok nothing to piss myself over
defentally a rental title
popozao @ Nov 3rd 2007 6:05PM
Young fanboys, careful with your words; despite the knee-jerk reaction of many of you to the shoddy quality of this port, remember this is still Capcom. F-ing Capcom! I dont care if they come to my house and kill my dog, then have an Aids patient pee in my eye socket, they're one of the most influential, reknown and awesome game developers on this planet. The 360 version looks better b/c it was created as a 360 game. That is all. Nothing to get upset over. Now that more PS3s are entering the market, lead development will shift to PS3. Also, RE5 will be worth forsaking not just your job, children, and lives. That game will make you forsake your religion. Summary: show some respect. This is a temporary issue, and will resolve itself in the near future.
Joshua @ Nov 3rd 2007 6:14PM
I dislike anyone who thinks Capcom "betrayed" them.
Justin @ Nov 3rd 2007 6:52PM
Played it on my 360. Didn't like it much. It felt like a watered down 'Gears' on ice. Not my type of game. Hell, Gears wasn't even my type of game.
DirtnSky @ Nov 3rd 2007 9:50PM
Lost Planet... Lost Ideas more like it. No matter how often it happens, the FINAL BOSS is always some form of human. Never truly alien or from out of this world weirdness. I played the kiosk demo and man was I bored with that. When I run out of other games that vaguely intrigue me, I might click on the link to the game for rent and read it's synopsis.

"was it just me or was I the only one..."
Either way, it's only you? Lol.
Ithilis @ Nov 4th 2007 12:13PM
I have this for my 360 and have beaten it. It certainly had some fun parts, especially some of the boss battles, but it was an overall average experience. The movement in the game is pretty slow and drags on in some places, while the standard, non-boss enemies are repetitive and lack intelligent AI. Most will probably find to be a suitable rental.
Pete @ Nov 4th 2007 2:42PM
This game isn't even a year old yet. PS3 owners who haven't played it should be happy it's coming to them. Another decent multiplayer game for the system. PSN definitely needs some of those.
Consolcwby @ Nov 4th 2007 11:07PM
I'll rent this one, thanks you. Looks kinda generic to me... =S
