Would you get dragged to protect a PS3?
Risking your life can be heroic, unless you're stupid enough to try to hold off a robbery with nothing but your iron grip and a penchant for saving your employer pithy amounts of cash. A southern Florida GameStop got robbed a while back, October 19th, but it's worth mentioning now since it's kind of strange to see the robbery in progress. The last thirty seconds is interesting, as the worker actually gets dragged to the front entrance as he tries to stop the man from stealing a PlayStation 3. Now, robbery is never funny, but why would this guy try so hard to prevent a single console from getting snatched? If your life is in danger, this isn't exactly the best way to risk it.

I work at a bank...you want money...take it...
I'll go home to my kids and the cops can take care of things.
My employer would rather loose X dollars than get sued by my family for making me 'feel' like I have to stand up to a robber.

I'm sorry but I would let it go!!! There is no way in hell I would lose (not loose @ 1st poster) my life over anything especially protecting the property of a capitalist institution at that.

the playstation 3 is the most powerful console there is no doubt. it can do weird things to your brain... its like that south park episode that bebe starts to grow some titties and the guys go all dumb and animal like because of the mighty power they hold. the ps3 is just that. people get killed by it, the get injured by it, and now this. man its like the ps3 is a tsunami that little by little grows stronger and next thing you know it lets its wrath be known!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently Mr. Robber didn't get the memo about the price drop.

Usually employers will fire you for trying to stop thieves. Its usually in the policy, or handbook not to apprehend criminals. It takes the fault off of them if you get hurt or killed trying to be a hero. You were instructed not to.

See the PS3 is good enough to steal, though I bet ya if it was an xbox the store person would of laughed and said keep it.
Kspraydad @ Nov 3rd 2007 10:35PM

I'd kill someone for less. For instance robbing my house and I find out who stole my system.... murder

Just typical day for a GameStop worker...trying to get people to NOT own PS3. ;)

When you're adrenalin starts flowing during something like that, people do some odd things. The clerk was acting on instincts, (to do the right thing), he shouldn't be critisised for it.

My precious... my precious... he tried to steal my precious...
(Nope, not worth it, but hard to stay rational when a PS3 is involved.)
