Rock Band finally gone gold

So Guitar Hero III has been out for about a week and you've played it from start to finish numerous times. With no signs of any downloadable content in the near future (what's up with that?) where can you turn for more rhythm based rock gameplay? Well, fear not for the holy grail of rhythm games, Rock Band, finally went gold today.

The game has been shipped off to manufacturers ready for the November 20th release date (December 18th for the PS2 version with PS3 compatible guitars). That's fifteen days to go - we're counting the hours, are you?

I preordered from Circuit City with express shipping. I've never preordered from there before. I hope they're reliable. I'll cry if I don't get it before Thanksgiving.

@ 8. u can still import it, it just costs more... and frankly its worth it seeing ashow itll be like £150 when it comes out here and its $215 INCLUDING SHIPPING from gamestop. Even if there is a whopping 50% import charge (worst case scenario) it will still only b £150...

did number 8 not hear me?! i got it for $215 including 3 day shipping to the uk from barnes and noble (gamestop). Like 11 says, even with import duty cost will equate to the eventual uk retail price on the bundle. i love the exchange rate to the dollar right now!

When I heard about this months ago, I said "now is the time for me to get a PS3." And I did, and all was well.

My reasoning was that I'd get the PS3, then have a couple months to put aside $200 for the game. I've enjoyed the PS3 more than I even imagined in the meantime. I expected it to just sit there collecting dust while playing with my Wii (especially with everyone bad-mouthing it). But quite the opposite. What a pleasant surprise the PS3 was.
