PlayStation opens PS Store in four new territories

The great thing is that these stores will "mirror the other SCEE stores" in terms of content, meaning that there's a large selection of content to start downloading - including Calling All Cars, Super Stardust HD and Warhawk. Not only that, but the stores open just in time for PSN Update Thursday. We'll let you know what the update contains, as usual, when we find out.

I've just checked the PS Store, hoping to find an awesome update with plenty of free stuff to download, however to my dismay I found nothing. Since I have started playing MotorStorm again after several months, I went over to the bit with the MotorStorm downloadables, finding that the Devil's weekend was added today!! Does this mean that there will be no more updates?!

And congrutalations to the 4 new contries.
In the Danish Store (EU Store) they had updated it with Devils Weekend for Motorstorm. Only?
Weymaster @ Nov 8th 2007 4:10PM
I can´t believe they launched the Czech Republic store before the Mexico one. That is just stupid.
Other than that, great update.
He dicho.

And hows that Uncharted demo?
Jakob H @ Nov 8th 2007 4:55PM
The Uncharted demo is not working on the Danish' PS3. It says 'Insert the game disc'

Welcome to the rest of the world, boys! Sucks when Sony treats you like a third world country or, even worse, forgets about you all together.
Makes me appreciate that fact that we had a store in the US on launch. Don't know what I would've done if I was someplace without it...

In Australia I see a ... pretty lame update. Its not nothing, but its a bunch of videos and a motorstorm expansion. I wonder if there is more to come, we usually get music vids each week.

Do you think you deserve a better treatment than the people that live in third world countries? You should pick better words next time. People import PS3's all over the world and specially in "third world countries" that don't have the console officially released, but that's because Sony believe they would not make much profit there, not because they are not worth of a better treatment.

W00! Saudi Arabia! Nice now I wonder how long it will take for them to get Kuwait on there. Thats a step in a really good direction.

@Mindf*ck...er I mean Mindflash
Before you get all "PC" on me why don't read what I said a second time. To reiterate, since I wasn't attempting to piss on the poor folks who live in a disenfranchised environment (e.g. third world), I was actually commiserating with the people who do get left behind, hence:
"Sucks when Sony treats you like a third world country or, even worse, forgets about you all together."
I, and I am assuming, unlike you have actually been to a few third world countries (and others that some would probably say belong in that category) and know first hand what it's like. Most of the people in places that unfortunate aren't very worried about "importing PS3s" so spare me.
And if what I haven't responded to you wasn't enough maybe the third line will help make it clear to you that I know what I have unlike many in this country who take things for granted:
"Makes me appreciate that fact that we had a store in the US on launch."
Lastly, you might have gathered (might being the key word) that I've "picked" my words in both posts for very specific reasons.
