Footage of Toy Home, straight from Japan
Game Republic's upcoming PSN game, Toy Home, is coming soon to the US PlayStation Store. The game, which is already available in Japan, focuses on physics-based driving. Overall, it looks a bit underwhelming, especially graphically. However, there's potential for zany fun, provided the controls feel good. Catch another video, after the cut.

So do all original PSN games require the use of sixaxis? Seems tacked on to me... I hope they offer the ability to switch it to traditional controls... I'm excited for this one.

So, it's fueled by firecrackers?
Dru @ Nov 11th 2007 11:52AM
Not my cup of tea. Looks like it could be fun in small doses at best and the sounds were grating after the first minute or two.
@2 I was wondering what the hell was going on with the cracking noise.

Well I for one think it looks great. Nice graphics and cool areas...the only thing that I'm concerned on is whether you'll be forced to use sixaxis or not.

Video no longer available. Wonderful

I'm ormally not for racing/driving games, but this has some cute sonic appeal...

The first video is alright.. although, the darkness of the clip makes it look murky, and compared to the second video, it doesnt do it justice.
Maybe someone fiddled witht he contrast controls or something?... anyways.
People are asking if there'll be SIXAXIS controls in this... well in the first vid, for a breif moment, when the car flips, you can see a "flip your controller to the right to bring you car back into position" sign to the left... so thats a nice feature.
And in the second video.. well, thats pretty much a whole SIXAXIS walkthroughBa hell of a lot brighter. Which is good.
Not sure about the game yet, but I wouldnt mind to see more of it.

Looks like a good game to have on the system if you've got kids in the house. I could see the youngsters really enjoying it
Kspraydad @ Nov 11th 2007 4:50PM
Yep...good clean fun for kids.
You'd pay a lot more for this exact type of game on another currently hot selling console so I think its good value for the PS3 owner.

Tilt controls are probably heavily encouraged for PSN games, but don't forget Super Stardust HD doesn't use tilt for anything. Thank God. Steering a car with tilt sounds like a recipe for disaster, sadly.
Disclaimer: I love Super Rub-a-Dub and would kill for a decent Super Monkey Ball clone on the PSN using tilt controls. I just believe in using tilt where appropriate.

That was downright dull.
Hey go google Dark Mist. It is another PSN title by Game Republic that was released last week. That game is actualy fantastic (little on the easy side). It's like a cross between zelda 1 dungons and smash tv.

Doesn't seem very exciting. Music is terrible.
