Worldwide PS3 releases for the week of November 11

Slim pickings for PAL territories and Asia this week, but at least those games that are released are excellent additions to the PS3 software library. It will be intriguing to see how the Japanese sales of Heavenly Sword will be, especially since the 40GB PS3 came out today. Here's the full release list:

Like we said - not much going on in Europe, but that's possibly a good thing. With Assassin's Creed being the must-have title that it is, other games might not get a look in and you have to wonder how this will affect sales of Kane and Lynch in the US. Regardless of sales talk, however, this is a great week for everyone.

Don't forget that the PS3 is a region free device, so feel free to import any of the games above from abroad. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so make sure you check with your local retailer before wasting a trip down to the shops.

All that matters is Tuesday is SVR 08 day! :) I anticipate it's release all year and this year even more so cuz it finally hits the PS3. I'm ready for it!

I believe Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was bumped up to the 15th. My local Gamestop said they would have it in for Friday. That should probably go on the list as well.

I just got a ps3 so I didn't know it was region free? Can you play any game from anywhere or are there some games that aren't region free?

Looked it up on Play and GAME - Dont know where you got that info from!

Go and someone suggest me a game for December please, to be released in Europe between now and the 21st. Must not be: Ratchet, Warhawk, Pro Evo, Resistance, Motorstorm, DiRT or Ninja Gaiden, cos i've already got them. Any other suggestion that's not a short single player please. Don't mind older (November backwards) games.

Well, I'm getting Virtua Fighter 5, Uncharted or Assassin's Creed that's for sure. It'll really depend on what you are into. I would wait a bit and check for Video Reviews on gametrailers.com or something =) Those are nice

I'm really torn over Assassin's Creed. I prefer the PS3 controller for games like this but if they PS3 version is going to have visual or performance issues, I want the 360 version. It'd be really nice if Ubisoft would actually show videos of the PS3 version. The fact that they never do worries me quite a bit.

Orange Box for PS3 was pushed back into '08. Early Jan. is what I remember, but don't quote me!

AC might just be a first day buy if I could get my hands on a few more reviews...

Haven't been interested in Assassins Creed much at all until I saw one of the walk through videos today. I might actually get this. Only problem is my friend just got a PS3 yesterday and I want to get as many online games as I possibly can so that we have something to play together. He has CoD4 but doesn't really like RFOM. May not get Warhawk for a while either, so I dunno.

Still on the fence about Kane & Lynch and Beowulf. The videos for both games look awesome but I haven't heard anything spectacular about either game, or seen any reviews yet.

It got "officially" pushed back earlier this week. The report is for Europe, but I read somewhere else that it was pushed into '08 (all regions). Quote from article is vague enough to hope though:

"The only good news is that this is a European report, so maybe, if we're really lucky, this delay only applies to that region. ...we doubt it, though."

Kane & Lynch looks pretty interesting, but coming out along side Assassin's Creed? That's too bad for the deranged-duo...

The only thing that sold me along all the list of games is Assasin's Creed. I am getting Smackdown vs Raw 2008 in XBOX 360 instead. I need my custom soundtrack fix. But Assasin's Creed is a PS3 no brainer. You should always play a game in a console that it was made for (before it became a Multiplatform)
