Uncharted sneaking into select retailers early?

The highly anticipated Uncharted is joining Ratchet & Clank as yet another high-profile PS3 game that's releasing earlier than expected. Various reports suggest that the game will be available at select retailers tomorrow. In fact, GameStop.com is already shipping the game.

When we contacted a Sony PR representative, they told us that the game is not meant to be sold early, and that these may be specific instances of stores breaking the official street date. Regardless, if you already have a pre-order, it couldn't hurt to call your local game store and see if they'll be giving you Uncharted goodness early.

For those who don't know: when you pre-order a game at Gamestop (or Electronics Botique), you get an automated-call from a computerized system telling you your game is coming in one day prior to when you can pick it up. I JUST RECIEVED MY CALL FOR UNCHARTED!!!

Is this merely a computer glitch, or will I have the game in my hands tomorrow?!?!!? Time will tell!

I made the mistake of putting most of the PS3 Games I want on my Christmas wish list to my family, So I can't really buy any NEW games till after Christmas, cause I don't wanna end up getting something I have. Sucks.

Just make a change to the list! That wouldn't stop me from getting a game I wanted. Most stores do have a return policy ;)

I've read a few different times that this might actually be hitting some stores today, which usually means that it will be widely available the next day. I think I'll be making some phone calls since I don't believe in pre-ordering. Isn't that something that Gamestop made up anyhow? There are enough stores where I live that pre-ordering is really not necessary and it's so laughable when I call them and they ask if I've ordered the game. They always make it sound like it's going to be so tough to get if I didn't pre-order (through them, of course)...

Just recieved a call from Gamestop informing me the game will be available tommorrow before noon!!!! Can't wait!!!....Uncharted is getting very solid reviews compred with Assasins Creed which is getting mixed reviews.

man...my wallet feels light. I just got COD4/Assassin's creed bundle offered by best buy. Although i did get cod4 today, i should get assassin's by Monday. Pretty good deal for 89.99 Canadian..i shall get unchartered over christmas..and R&C too..

But seriously, my GameCrazy also called me today stating that they are releasing the game tomorrow as well. I guess that makes two video game distributors now releasing it early.

Is there any chance that any other/all retailers might be selling this tomorrow? See, I hate Gamestop but I am definitely buying a game tomorrow. If Uncharted is available tomorrow, then that would rock. Otherwise, it's Assassin's Creed and I would have to wait till next weekend to pick up Uncharted.

I bought mine at blockbuster, Toronto Today. Couple of hours ago. But EB games earlier refused to sell it. I donno what's going on but I got the game :)

I got the call from Gamestop around 6:30. I really hope the game is there tomorrow. If it is, then I'll have purchased my twelfth game for the PS3. Not bad, but not great either. Here's a list if anyone cares

I just got a call from my local Gamestop that said Uncharted will be available Friday (which, here on the East Cost, is today) before noon.

First off, I just got my copy of Uncharted from Gamestop about an hour ago. Glad days abound! Second, to #15(secret), I must apologize, but to be honest, those three that you mentioned just hold no appeal for me. *Ducks and dodges thrown cans and various blunt instruments.* Still, I'm happy with what I currently own and now look forward to Devil May Cry 4, MGS4, Soul Calibur 4, Silent Hill 5, RE5, FF13-both games, and White Knite Story.
