Unreal Tournament 3 soundtrack coming very soon
If you can't get enough of the tunes in Unreal Tournament 3, be not disheartened! The official 2-CD soundtrack is getting released by Sumthing Else Music Works. The soundtrack features music by Rom Di Prisco and Jesper Kyd, and will be available on November 20th. You'll get over 150 minutes of only the most hard-hitting electronica and remixes of tunes you've ever heard! Supposedly. It's good to note that both Di Prisco and Jesper Kyd are new to making game music in the Unreal franchise, but the folks at Epic are pleased with the results. Hopefully, if you give the soundtrack a purchase, you will too.

I know that it's cheesy most of the time when there's some heavy metal guitar riffs in the background to shooter games, but when can we get a game that does it RIGHT? And actually releases the soundtrack too.
I'm not talking about licensed tracks from stupid crap like korn(which isnt even metal) or disturbed(not metal either. zoy right?), im talking about some really awesome heavy acts getting contracted or whatever to sit down and work with the game developers on the score/soundtrack whatever. Mike Patton from Fantomas/Mr. Bungle would be an excellent choice. He does the voice of The Darkness, and he's doing more game work in the future, so it seems like a perfect fit.
Just go to sweden and talk to a bunch of tech metal and hardcore bands and you're sure to have a good group of stuff to work with. I like electronic music and all, but when I go to the soundtrack website we shall not speak of here, it seems like 80% of all the soundtracks are this type of thing.
Whatever.... /rant
