PSP Store arriving 'after Christmas' in Europe
The PC-compatible PLAYSTATION Store will arrive in Europe "after Christmas," according to a new e-mail sent out by SCEE today. The Store will feature "games, themes and wallpapers" and "trailers, music and films." This ambitious revamp of downloadable content for PSP certainly can't come soon enough!
There's still no word on the US release yet.

Probably after Easter here in the States. Sony should have gone and done the worldwide release back in September with Japan. Marketing smarts there.

my psp is japanese i bought it thinking it was english, now i cant register on playstation.com as my psp is psp-1000 and it only gives you the option to put psp-1200 or upwards any ideas what i can do?message sony maybe

As we already know, the PSP Store is going to suck anyways. It'll have hardly any worthy PSone games, no video content that anybody is interested in, and only a few selected music-titles... I don't think it's something you should get exited about.

Great news, if you live in Europe.
SCEA to USA: 'F___ you.'

I think they misread that...... to me it seems the European Playstation store will be out before christmas, but the old store they used to have will be around until after Christmas to save your previous downloads.... its all in the last paragraph.

to liam: the same happened to me, I am in Europe but got my PSP in the USA, and couldn't register to the PSP Europe page because of the different model (mine is PSP-1001). I emailed Sony and was told that there's no way to register to a different region. Which means I'm in Europe but missing out on this too!

i think that sony really need to focuse more on helping people that are not able to sign up on playstation.com because our serial number doesnt match the model number,i might have to sell my psp to get another one just for playstation store, this has tempted me to use homebrew to play backup ps1 games.
liam @ Nov 19th 2007 7:17AM
i dont know if my message has shown up so i will say this again.sony have told people with psp that are unable to sign up to playstation store that they must buy a new psp,how about i buy i modded/homebrew psp and run backup games free of charge? i know what im gonna do now sony
Fewfeet @ Nov 20th 2007 12:20PM
SONY know nothing about this BTW so I'd take it with a pinch of salt if I were you.
Ripcord83 @ Nov 20th 2007 12:55PM
i live in the US and have a US psp, and i can still use the UK & JP psp stores.
you might not be able to register it on the playstation website for a different region, but the stores work fine.
nukester @ Nov 20th 2007 7:02PM

liam @ Nov 21st 2007 3:05PM
