American PSN updates for November 20th

How strange it feels to write a PSN Store releases post on Tuesday. Even stranger is the fact that PlayStation Eye games have finally reached America. Only two, but that's better than nothing. What else is available? Good question. Here's the full release list:

So if you were lucky enough to pick up a copy of Rock Band by now there's plenty of content to download and enjoy - and that's only on day one! Having said that, however, where's the Guitar Hero III boss battles? They've been available for Xbox 360 owners for almost a week now. Nevermind. We're intrigued by the flOw expansion pack and can't wait to see what it contains.

Also, interesting fact of the day: Sony has updated all of the thumbnails for the store so that the content category is displayed at the bottom of each image. It certainly makes navigation that little bit easier, not to mention it's much more aesthetically pleasing.

Anyone else think it's BS to have dlc for sale the same day a game launches? Any reason (other than money) for them to do that?

So Aqua Vitae gets renamed Aquatopia? Are they worried it'll be to tricky to understand for Americans? Please...

It makes perfect sense for the to be dl on opening day. There is quite a bit of time between finishing the game and it hitting stores where developers can make new content.

I see no problem with this kind of thing at all. More songs is more songs, and there can only be so many on the disc before they start taking a major hit money-wise.

Can you play these games with any camera? For example right now I have my xbox camera hooked up to the system can it used to play these games or does it only work with Sony EYE cam that comes with that card game?

DUH!! Of course they are "just trying to make money" if you think otherwise you've deluded yourself. Thats what businesses do. They try to figure out what products are in demand and they SELL them for MONEY.

If companies didn't try to make money they would go out of business pretty quickly.

You guys complaining about this kind of DLC obviously don't understand that every track requires royalties paid to the song writer / artist.
The game's expensive enough as it is, it's not like they can put all these tracks on there to begin with without losing serious money.
It's not like NFS stuff or Spider-Man3's New Goblin stuff, so I say it's fine. I'd rather pay for the songs I want instead of paying for the royalties to songs I have no love for.

I think it's awesome that Rock Band DLC is available on day one, and I hope to see tons more in the coming weeks/months/years. Of course it will allow the publisher to make money, and it will allow me to continue enjoying the game.

To me its stupid for Harmonix to release the DLC on the same day the game comes out. People will still be playing through the stuff they already got and won't think about new content for a couple of weeks.

By that time the DLC will have been shuffled to the back pages of the PSN which few visit.
