PSP store now available online via the PC
Do you own a PSP but not a PS3? Are you jealous of PS3 owners downloading exclusive PSP content? Well Sony has finally come to your rescue. A PC version of the PlayStation Store is now available for those of you without a PlayStation 3. This store actually includes exclusive content not available on the PS3 store, including full PSP games such as Wipeout Pure and Gangs of London.
The interface is really nice and easy to navigate and for those of you who do have a PS3 you can sign in using your PlayStation Network ID and it will link through to show all your downloaded items. You can also edit your account details, including adding money to your wallet. No doubt this service will continue to evolve over time and we look forward to seeing it do so.
Update: Read the full step-by-step guide to using the Store here.

yes! finnally! ive been waiting for this since it was announced!
Akamaru @ Nov 20th 2007 4:37PM
@JDJers: So you basically steal all of your games? And people wonder why PSP isn't beating the DS.
Anywho, this is awesome. I own a PS3 but sometimes I need access to the store abroad. This kicks ass good going Sony!!!

Woo!
Sony is king of better-late-than-never, but I'm glad this has arrived.
The US lineup of games is still slim, but hopefully they'll open that up now that there's a viable storefront.
(still crossing fingers for a re-release of Final Fantasy VII)

This is great news all-round. Can we expect videos and music ala itunes?

I got all excited until I went to the store and realized how poor the selection of PSOne games was.
I mean, wow - what a worthless selection. Half the games have newer better games available on the PSP already, the other half were long forgotten for a reason. The PSOne has an amazing library - where the heck is it?

@6: Perhaps you didn't notice the full PSP games available for download - Wipeout Pure is not a PSOne game.
And they just snuck it out eh? No fanfare just... boom! There ya' go.
Also, am I the only person who installed the software and now can't find it anywhere?
bish @ Nov 20th 2007 6:48PM
Ah well after all this waiting It's too bad they didn't put a mac version of the download software on there that can be used by non-intel mac users. I can hope that will show up at some point but Sony and Apple never really got along all that great so probably not. Unfortunately I won't be able to get anything on there for the time being if they don't.

All I can say to truly reflect my excitement is:
F**K YEAH!

Oddly enough you have to have Microsoft Windows in order to patronize the store which begs the question, is a Microsoft Xbox required as well?
Seriously, they shouldn't turn away the customers that do not patronize Microsoft, it's bizarre.

No OSX support = boo!
Glad Sony finally got this thing together though. When did they first announce this? TGS last year? Offering full games is great too, shame I won't be able to get them if Sony don't sort things out for Mac users.

Yup, another pi$$ed off ex-PS2 fanboy/Mac user here. Sony SUCK! Anyone want to buy a slightly used slim PSP? Shalln't be purchasing any more Sony products until they cater for all.
Pilch @ Nov 21st 2007 9:55AM
I see that there are plenty of comments already about this, but no OS X support is pretty bad. Anyone knows if support for Macs will come anytime soon?

Boooo!!! THAT SUCKS!!! I`m an ubuntu linux user and can`t download??? Why is that, SONY? Microsoft pays you? Why only Windows users may use PSP Store?

The PS Store stole my money!
I Logged in to buy Syphon Filter on PS Classics for my psp. It said i needed to add money to my wallet, so I say "ok, I'll add some money to my wallet." I go to my banking website and confirm that i have money on my card. Then I put in my debit card number and continue. It says invalid credit card details. So I look back and theres a space in the number. So I delete the space and continue. Now it asks for my address, so I put that in too. I click continue and it says invalid details again. So i go over everything, trying different things, and it still says invalid credit card. Then I go to my banking website, and there are seven different charges for $1. What the heck? How could it charge me if it was supposively invalid? I was outraged, but I remanied cool and decided to call the PSN help number to get my money back and hopefully buy a game. Well, the help line closed 16 minutes ago, so I would have to try tomorrow. I call in around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and I get a message saying that they cannot take my call, so please call back later. They STOLE MY MONEY, and i can't get it back!
