The not-so-cheap way of playing Time Crisis

Namco's Time Crisis 4 comes out today, and its high Guncon-infused price tag may scare a few people. At $90, it certainly isn't cheap ... but when you consider the alternative, it certainly feels like a bargain. For the truly hardcore, instead of picking up the PS3 game, why not consider buying the arcade game downright? It'll only cost you $16k.

Certainly, this makes the price of a PS3, an HDTV and the game seem very, very cheap in comparison. Stay tuned for the complete review of the PS3 version of Time Crisis 4.

Namco should have got some PSN game makers to launch Guncon games at the same time....Until I see 3 or more games using this controller I won't be purchasing it...

KSpraydad, that's a good point until you realize how many people (including me) purchased Guitar Hero III with a guitar that (apparently) only works on 1 game now.

Is the GunCon 3 wireless? I've been waiting and waiting for Namco to finally release a wireless GunCon so I can stop screwing with plugs behind my setup.

The Guncon 3 is not wireless; its got a long cable that plugs into a usb port. It also has sensors to put on the tv and that's what i'm not happy about until i see how they look and attach. I spent good money on my hd 1080p tv and the idea of attaching sensors to it for games has me waiting to see it at a friends place before i'd buy it. If there was nothing to attach to the tv then i'd have preordered it. If HOTD4 comes out, then i'd pretty much be buying it either way.

I love guncon games, I like kspraydad's PSN/downloadable content idea. I hope this is more accurate than a wiimote. Already pre-ordered from Amazon a while back. When the price drop in a year or so, I will pick up another guncon.

I think this blog makes a very good point and shuts up anyone who is gonna start crying because they paid $30 for a gun using better tech than the old raster scanners. Speaking of which-- Xdragon-- Dude-- you can't make a gun that is compatible with the type of modern TV that you have WITHOUT sensors. Tell ya what. Go buy an old CRT screen and play duck hunt in the closet, where no one can see.

@#8 Yes, on PS3 only (gotta love it), the Guitar Hero Les Paul will NOT work with Rockband and the Rockband Fender will NOT work with GH III. Really pisses me off.
