Fan-made PS3 ad focuses on future exclusives

PS3 Fanboy darkmatt3r took Saliva's "Ladies and Gentleman" promo song and made his own variant of the new PS3 ads. His original piece includes footage from upcoming exclusives such as Final Fantasy XIII, Killzone 2 and Little Big Planet. It's an incredibly well-cut trailer that would be quite effective if shown on TV. Looks like next year's holiday ads are going to be even better than this year's.

He didnt end it with "PS3, starting at 399" ;(

he must announce that so it can sell. That was a smart move from sony.

Actually most of what was shown was either in game, or real time. Rendered on the PS3. (Pretty much everything but Final Fantasy XIII Versus was real time rendered.)

Just remember there is a difference between cut-scenes rendered on a PS3, and CGI rendered on a rendering farm (Lots of powerful computers linked together, filmed, and then played back on the PS3.

That's a hell of a ride to showcase the PS3 and it fits with the song. You really can't sneak in a clip of little big~ easily to fit the tempo of the rhythm. Maybe a quick shot during the the eye section...

Not Bad. I wouldn't go too crazy, half of it was good, but it focuses strongly on a few games,

It should in my opinion showcase GTAIV, RESIDENT EVIL 5, DEVIL MAY CRY 4, why? because why not , those games were born on PS and are still on PS3. So Showcase all the games we have. Not just exclusives.

Also LBP, etc.

People said LBP would be hard to add in here, believe me though, adding something like a "cute and fun game" to a song like that, can even pitch a sale to hardcore "tough guy" gamers.

Also SOCOM again, i said it once, i'll say it again, SOCOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

people are waiting on this game to get a PS3. You gotta make it now. Go and waste more time on another ad

Thanks everybody. I just wanted to focus on a few big-hitters for this trailer. I can make another one using all the games you guys have mentioned. I thought about LBP but I wasn't sure how it would fit :]

Great Vid. Unfortunately you can't please everyone! I really liked the music sync and choice thereof. As a PS3 owner that chooses 360 most of the time. I just want to know when these games are coming out!!!

That wasn't just a "fanboy"...that work was professionally done. This person must work in the industry or is a complete prodigy with video editing. The audio cues in the song hit the video perfectly. It matches so well with the music that it is superior to any of the national ads (which are well done) put out by Sony themselves. Absolutely amazing work. I hope they see it. It offers much more emotion when so deeply intertwined with the audio. A++

Wow. It feels good to receive that level of respect. I'm not in the industry yet, but I'm studying Interactive Entertainment at USC, so I'll be there soon. As far as video editing, it's been about a year and a half. I remember when I made my first AMV after watching Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children :]
