See how to play Valkyrie of the Battlefield
Despite the fact that only a small percentage of us can understand a damn thing being said in this video, we think it's safe to say a large majority here can appreciate the beauty that is Sega's Valkyrie of the Battlefield.
Also shown are how command points are used, the different units available and how they can be combined together to maximize their effectiveness. We still haven't heard if this game will see a Western release, but if Sega's smart, it'll certainly push this game for all it's worth.

I love the art style... and that's a good thing because I think this might be the game that gets me to play something turn based.
So I'll definitely play this if it makes it to the American shores, but I really want to see someone make a 3rd person action title with this art style. Then my shallow, empty life will be complete.

Are you serious? Did I type pspfanboy by mistake? What does this game produce that my PS2 can't? You know this site takes its name too seriously when it says something like that, about a video like this.

this game should do well in japan.

The game is still beautiful even if it's not technically advanced in its techniques. That's like saying a painting can't be beautiful because it wasn't made using Photoshop or something.
The art style is really well done, and even though the game may not be making use of the PS3's graphic capabilities, I'm sure it'll use other capabilities the PS2 couldn't provide.
I personally, love the art style. Can't wait to get a crack at playing it.

Just curious, does anybody know where this ranks in the Famitsu most wanted games. This is the first I have even heard of this game?

It is #26. It was at the Tokyo Game Show and you can download this and another trailer from PSN in Japan.

Apparently, you're the kind of person who thinks that unless the game looks like Gears of War, it isn't next-gen. :P
It's beautiful in its own right. These two-inch large videos won't show you, but once you have it playing on a bigger screen, things look much nicer.

@6 When somebody says beauty I think looks, tell me if thats a strange thought.
If the 19 inch HD screen that I play all of my games on at the moment isn't big enough to make it look nice then I'm damn sure that the 40 inch screen my parents have back home isn't nicer. A "next-gen" game should look half decent, if not great. If the gameplay looks fun or deep then I can forgive this. Metal Gear Acid set in World War II does not count as deep no matter how much you liked that game

You have to admit that with all the compression it isn't a true representative of the graphics in the game. The whole this is like a living water color, it is gorgeous. Check out a higher quality trailer.

Click on movies on the bottom of the page, and the high quality ones are the first links. If you still don't think the art style is awesome, well I guess you're entitled to your opinion.

Wow, that game as a fantastic cell-shading-look to it! And the gameplay looks quite interesting at the very least; I hope it will be available in the US as well!
