PAIN arriving this Thursday
A new post on the PlayStation.Blog has let us know that the upcoming PSN title PAIN will finally be made available for public consumption this coming Thursday. The game has previously been confirmed to be priced at $9.99 in America, though price information for other territories is currently unknown. It has been mentioned by the development team that they want a worldwide release for the game, but whether that's the case is still unclear.
If you're still unsure about purchasing the game, then be sure to check out the new trailer on the PlayStation.Blog as well as previous video showing a few of the game modes. The latest PlayStation.Blog post also includes a few interesting tidbits and quotes from the development process which are quite amusing.

Surprisingly early :o I wonder if I'll be able to purchase it considering the american PSN doesn't accept international cards from South America residents and I live in a SA country.. My struggle with the PSN lives on :(

Definitely picking this one up. Should make for some thought-free fun with some friends. Fingers crossed for rumble support!
BTW: For those who are curious (since it seems like NO ONE online has made any comment), the DualShock 3's rumble is definitely better than the 2's.

From the offical FAQ of the game : www.painps3.com
Does PAIN™ Support Force Feedback?
Yes, PAIN™ already natively supports to the Sony DUALSHOCK®3 so you can feel every bump and explosion.

Isn't High Velocity Bowling coming as well? If so then this will be a good week, especially if the Haze demo comes out.

How is the dualshock 3's rumble better than that of the ps2?
Stef Geiger @ Nov 28th 2007 9:40AM
It's noticeably stronger than the Dualshock 2's was, and more... precise. By that I mean it stops and starts with more definition - it doesn't fade in or fade away, it just starts and stops rather abruptly, which helps in making it feel stronger too. It's not quite as strong as the 360's controller, which I've only tried once, but recall it having VERY strong rumble. I was pretty skeptical about the new rumble, but it looks like Sony did a really good job. It feels a lot better with the weight of the motors added to it. What's interesting is that it seems like games use it more sparingly. If you have any other questions about it, ask away. I've been really surprised at how there's been SO much reporting about the controller, but no one seems to have actually spoken at any length about the rumble itself. But there ARE stories on unboxing the controller, thank god.

I'm one of the few that would sometimes turn off rumble because it would often just annoy me. DS2's rumble was generally OK most of the time though. Xbox's rumble is annoying to me a lot though, I feel like I'm hanging on to that thing for dear life as it tries to escape my grasp.
