Warhawk expansion coming in December

The old levels will all be augmented to include the new vehicle - the KT-424 Combat Dropship. This flying behemoth will be able to carry up to six footsoldiers and one ground-based vehicle. It will also feature a new weapon - the MBEC-3 Heavy Support Cannon. There's no word on how much this expansion will cost, nor an exact release date. Regardless, we're definitely looking forward to seeing our favourite online experience further improved.

Are they also going to release an expansion that fixes all the glitches and bugs in the game? It's really hard to enjoy a game that plays like it's still in beta.
Fun game, but I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it until all the problems are resolved.

Patch 1.2 is also due out in December some time (separate from the expansion pack), it's promised to sort some issues out including some of the exploits. The 1.1 patch (released earlier this month, I think) fixed a lot of the initial problems. Stats and ranks are working and joining a game is much easier, so if you haven't played for a while, jump back in, it's great :-)

Dude I think this additon will be awesome - I can not wait. In my opinion (hands down) this in my favorite game. Okay I know I need to build my Library (working on it) but regardless I am still hype.

I wonder how armored this new vehicle will be, and if it's gonna be sloooow moving? I can't wait. And it's not really like playing a beta, EDR229. I think it's pretty up to snuff, but a frozen screen every now and again is annoying. BUY THIS GAME if you don't have it, then get Uncharted!

@ EDR229 - dude you're alone with your Warhawk probs, I've been playing for months now without experiencing any 'glitches or bugs'...
Warhawk is an awesome, life eating, beautiful online battlefest - having played both I prefer it's balance and weapon set to even the mighty Halo 3. And am even as I type licking my lips in anticipation of the dropship expansion!!

How will this work? It adds this new aircraft to the older maps, but what happens with those who don't have the expansion? Will it be invisible to them or something? Thats going to be a problem.

it's proper ace, i play it every night for at least a quick blast. sometimes for 2 hours.

I also have to question the "beta" comment? This is the only game on any of my systems that I play regularly (previously GoW) and it seems completely stable to me.
As blasphemous as it may seem, I almost wish they made this for the 360 so that it got some of the recognition it deserved.

No, warhawk does have its glitches, the invisible tank exploit for one. They're not widely used (thank god), at least on the Euro servers. There are game play issues as well, such as unfair team kill kicks from servers etc..
And it does have a beta feel about it sometimes, certainly a lot of the issues sorted out in 1.1 and to be sorted in 1.2 should have been fixed prior to this.
How it will work will probably be quite simple. Players with the upgrade will probably be able to see servers running both versions, but those without the upgrade will only see servers running their version.

I also wonder if they going to make dedicated servers for the expansion, because that does seem like about the only way it would work.
The prospect of Dropships on the Archipelago large map is super exciting. As anyone who has been stuck at the main base without a Warhawk can attest to.

It will be free. Dylan Jobe said a while back that warhawk fans would get a free holiday gift. I think this is it. Plus, like someone mentioned before it would add too much confusion if some people had it and some didn't.

I'm very sure it'll be free. Since it's an online only game, I'm thinking the guys behind the game would very much like everyone to enjoy the same level of entertainment.

I hope this pulls me back into the game since it's been so long since I played it. I loved the beta, and when it first released I was on it constantly; but with all the server and rank problems I quickly lost interest in it. Even after those were apparently taken care of, there were too many other titles fighting for attention to go back.

Yea. COD and Assassin's Creed cut my Warhawk time down significantly. NBA 2K8 holds some responsibility as well. I doubt it'll be free, but it would be a great x-mas gift...
